Therapeutic Operations Lead
Orchard Therapeutics
• Develop trusted relationships with qualified treatment centers (QTC’s), healthcare professionals and patient organizations • Supporting the QTC in Utrecht, The Netherland and coordinating patient’s treatment ensuring that it adheres to what is described in the Product Manual and facilitating the exchange of the related mandatory documentation with Orchard’s Supply Chain Team • In partnership with the Medical Director, engage disease experts via advisory boards and individual interactions to accelerate patient identification and diagnosis • Oversee the development of disease-related and product-related materials and their approval for use in the Benelux, in partnership with the Medical Director • Drive disease awareness and the identification of potential patient candidates for treatment with Libmeldy® and other Orchard gene therapies • Resolve issues of access to treatment by potential patient candidates to gene therapy, in collaboration with the Market Access function • Plan activities and track budget in the franchise • Role-model corporate values and behaviours; foster compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and corporate SOPs, and the pursuit of the highest ethical standards • Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management. regarding the strategy and operations in the neurometabolic franchise • Represent Orchard during meetings and congresses.
Job Requirements
- Resident in the Netherlands
- Experience of working in the Benelux region preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry. 2+ years in rare disease and/or gene therapy preferred
- First rate academic background; undergraduate degree in pharmaceutical, medical or scientific discipline
- MD, PhD and or relevant post-graduate business degree is preferred
- Considerable experience in the commercial or medical affairs functions of pharmaceutical companies with proven expertise supporting product launches, innovative therapies and medical-marketing projects
- Experience working in rare disease or specialty disease
- A track record of building trusted relationships with disease experts (in partnership with the medical team) and other public influencers, to drive adoption of a therapy
- A good scientific acumen
- A team mindset embracing cross-functional collaboration
- Entrepreneurial spirit, solution-oriented and an operational approach to the business
- An individual with high resilience who thrives on overcoming obstacles
- Excellent verbal and written communication in Dutch and English
- Excellent verbal and written communication in French would be beneficial
- Proficiency with the suite of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 50% of time)

Role Description Provides direct oversight of coding, CPT capture, and audit reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and compliant billing, proper device cost reporting, and protection of reimbursement across cardiovascular and interventional service lines. Partners with Revenue Integrity, Supply Chain, CDI, Finance, and Clinical Operations to lead process improvements, educate staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory and payor requirements. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned personnel using both professional and supervisory discretion and independent judgment.
