Physician Contracting Specialist 1

Role Description The Physician Contracting Specialist helps the Director of Physician Contracting Services with the Baylor Scott & White Health Physician Contracting Process. Participates in planning, coordination, and monitoring of Physician Contracting as required by the Director. Essential Functions of the Role - Participates in a coordinated System-wide Physician Contracting Process. - Assists the Director and works with the Baylor Scott & White Health Office of Tax Management and the BSWH Legal Department. - Helps carry out the requirements of the BSWH Board of Trustees Physician Contracting Review and Approval Process, including: - Collecting all necessary documentation, such as conflict of interest and business/community benefit goals. - Aiming to help contract terms and assist in completing the Summary Report Form/Physician Arrangement Request Form for each physician contract. - Obtaining the necessary approvals required for each physician contract. - Participates in the BSWH Physician Contracting Committee meeting preparation. - Works with the Director and Vice President on the Physician Contracting Process. - Responsible for renewing and tracking PRN physician employment agreements, including sending renewal inquiries to administrators about the agreement renewal. - Facilitates electronic signature of all contracts and approval documents, following up on any document not signed promptly. - Maintains the contract storage of physician contracts, including: - Loading new contracts and amendments promptly. - Setting up timesheets and completing or updating custom fields. - Responsible for running reports out of the contract storage software as needed. - Drafts amendments and agreements as requested by the Director/Vice President. - Maintains contract folders for operations team and updates as needed. - Assists the Director as assigned to provide help to Physician Contracting Services. Key Success Factors - Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations regarding provider contracting. - Must be able to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing. - Ability to prioritize work based on the needs of the department to meet deadlines and goals. - General computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office, Meditract, DocuSign, and Adobe. Qualifications - EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification - EXPERIENCE - 2 Years of Experience - Preferences: prior remote work experience, experience with contracts Benefits - Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits - 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% - Tuition Reimbursement - PTO accrual beginning Day 1 - Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level. SALARY The pay range for this position is $24.92 (entry-level qualifications) - $37.37 (highly experienced).
