• Contribute to the development of Python and JavaScript libraries (such as moz-l10n) and tools that support Mozilla’s localization infrastructure. • Improve localization and internationalization within the Firefox codebase to make features more adaptable and accessible across languages and regions. • Collaborate with engineers and program managers to design and implement new Pontoon features. • Engage with our community of volunteer developers and localizers to support and guide Mozilla’s localization efforts. • Collaborate effectively with teammates and internal clients across regions and time zones.

Role Description We are currently looking for both VRI and Onsite US-Based ASL interpreter. An ASL interpreter will provide sign language interpretation services in a variety of settings, including working with a variety of individuals who are deaf, deafened, hard of hearing and/or oral, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and their needs. Qualifications - Experience working as an interpreter (preferred, but not required) - An associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required) - Interpreter certification - Understanding of deaf culture, social experiences of deaf and hard of hearing persons, history of education for students who have various levels of hearing loss, and current pedagogical trends - Proven interpersonal skills when working with deaf and hearing impaired persons, communication service providers, instructors and administrators - Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, electronic scheduling and internet - Excellent written communication skills - Ability to work independently and within a team Requirements - Effectively interpret between American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English - Maintain, as applicable, compliance with any national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements - Adhere to guidelines for NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct - Accurately complete assigned tasks/duties, projects and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines - Possess the ability to quickly learn and implement new and changing technologies - Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic, highly regulated environment - Demonstrate willingness and ability to complete additional duties and assignments on an on-going basis Additional Requirements - Computer or Laptop - Windows 10 or higher - Steady wired internet connection - At a minimum, download speeds of 20 Mbps and upload speeds of 10 Mbps - Webcam - USB wired headset - Backdrop; use a contrasting, solid color like royal blue, charcoal, or bright green - Based on your location, background check and/or drug screening may be required

In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness of our website’s Spanish translations for Latin American audiences, with a focus on investment-related content. You will work closely with our content and localization teams to enhance overall translation quality. What You'll Do - Review and spot-check automated translations of our investment-focused website content into Spanish. - Ensure translations accurately convey the intended message and are culturally appropriate for Spanish-speaking audiences interested in investing. - Identify and correct errors in grammar, context, terminology, and especially inaccuracies related to investment concepts. - Provide feedback on recurring translation issues to help improve our automated translation system. - Work independently following a flexible working schedule that accommodates academic commitments. Qualifications - Native or near-native proficiency in both Latin American Spanish and English. - Knowledge of investment concepts and terminology. - Strong command of neutral, pan-regional Latin American Spanish suitable for financial/investment content. - Excellent attention to detail and an ability to identify subtle language discrepancies. - Strong understanding of Spanish language nuances. - Basic understanding of website content structure and localization practices. - Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
