• Lead end‑to‑end customer engagements from presales and design through delivery and handover • Design secure, resilient on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure solutions aligned to customer and operational requirements • Deliver and support infrastructure platforms covering virtualisation, networking, core services, and Microsoft technologies • Architect and implement high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions across complex environments • Lead or support infrastructure deployments, migrations, upgrades, and modernisation initiatives • Provide technical leadership, governance, and risk management across all stages of delivery • Produce high‑quality technical documentation and act as a trusted advisor to technical and non‑technical stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • Significant experience in End User computing (EUC)
  • Deep understanding of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) deployment
  • Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise on‑premises and hybrid infrastructure solutions
  • Advanced virtualisation expertise across VMware (ideally VMware Cloud Foundation) and Hyper‑V
  • Deep Microsoft infrastructure skills including Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and VPNs
  • Strong enterprise networking capability across routing, switching, security, WAN, SD‑WAN, wireless, and cloud networking
  • Expert knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery using Veeam technologies
  • Practical automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar tools
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, cross‑platform infrastructure and networking issues
  • Strong customer‑facing consultancy skills, with the ability to lead engagements and communicate effectively at all levels

Role Description As a Cloud Platform Senior Consultant within the Cloud Platform and Security Team, you will be a specialist in Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Purview, leading the design, deployment, and governance of data platform and information protection solutions for our clients. You will take a senior technical lead on engagements, combining deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric’s analytics and engineering capabilities with a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Purview’s governance, data security, risk, and compliance pillars. You will be responsible for the supporting Azure infrastructure that underpins these platforms – from networking and identity to capacity management, storage architecture, and integration runtimes – ensuring that Fabric and Purview environments are well-architected, secure, and operationally resilient. You will guide clients on platform design decisions, lead discovery and implementation engagements, and work closely with internal data platform and cloud infrastructure colleagues to deliver end-to-end solutions. You will bring a strong mix of technical depth and consultancy skills, with the ability to engage senior client stakeholders, translate complex platform concepts into practical recommendations, and take ownership of delivery quality. You will contribute to the Cloud Platform and Security Team’s growing Fabric and Purview practice, share knowledge across the team, and help develop reusable accelerators, patterns, and internal guidance. Qualifications - Hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Fabric & Microsoft Purview - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, covering the Data Governance, Data Security, Risk & Compliance, and DSPM pillars - Experience configuring Microsoft Purview Information Protection, sensitivity labels, DLP policies, and data classification - Understanding of Microsoft Purview Data Map architecture including scanning, classification rules, and lineage across heterogeneous data sources - Experience with Azure networking as it applies to Fabric and Purview: private endpoints, managed VNets, private DNS zones, and VNet peering - Proficiency with infrastructure as code using Azure Bicep and/or Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions - Experience with Microsoft Entra ID including managed identities, service principals, Entra groups, and RBAC for Azure and Microsoft 365 workloads - Understanding of Azure storage architecture (ADLS Gen2, OneLake, Azure Blob Storage) and its role in supporting Fabric and Purview - Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Fabric capacity monitoring for operational oversight - Working knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework as applied to data platform and governance workloads - Role Description The Varicent Associate TAM works alongside Technical Account Managers within the Customer Success organization with a portfolio of clients who have subscribed to the VIP Program. The Associate TAM will act as a Varicent adviser to client resources with the aim to maximize the VIP client’s return on their Varicent investment. This will require building strong relationships with all stakeholders and supporting business goals by solving go-to-market challenges with innovative solutions. This will include: - Answering product, process, and solution-specific questions. - Proactively monitoring existing solutions for optimal performance. - Adapting and evolving existing solutions with new implementations and the adoption of new features and functionality. - Owning the customer’s technical success and supporting all system and solution-focused conversations. Qualifications - At least 5 years of experience in IT Consulting, Enterprise Software Implementation. - Prior experience with Query Based Languages and Relational Databases. - Technical data skills including strong experience with SQL data manipulation, Microsoft Excel. - Preferred: Understanding of Sales Performance Management domain. - Strongly Preferred: Hands-on experience with Varicent software products (Administering, implementing, and/or supporting). - Basic knowledge of system configurations, data models, and data integration best practice concepts. Requirements - Advanced SQL is mandatory. - Support the primary TAM in monitoring the health and performance of Varicent solutions across a portfolio of VIP customers. - Assist in coaching users on foundational Varicent functionality, configuration concepts, and best-practice methodologies. - Participate in reviewing new features, fixes, and release notes to help assess potential impact on the customer’s environment. - Contribute to configuring Varicent solutions based on documented customer requirements, under guidance from the senior TAM. - Prepare and share monthly performance, utilization, and support-related metric summaries. - Analyze solution usage and data patterns to help identify potential issues or areas for optimization. - Assist in implementing proactive maintenance actions and solution improvements. - Collaborate with TAMs and Internal teams to troubleshoot errors, investigate defects, and support solution optimization efforts. - Identify opportunities for customer value realization and surface to the primary TAM for strategic review. - Contribute to customer conversations that frame Varicent products as targeted solutions to process challenges, enabling thoughtful upsell, cross-sell, and expansion motions. - Partner with the TAM team to support sustainable customer engagement, project outcomes, and product adoption. - Contribute to planning and estimating tasks within the Technical Success journey, ensuring alignment within available customer VIP entitlement. - Work with internal stakeholders to understand change management processes and assist in recommending improvements where appropriate. - Collaborate with TAMs to maintain reusable object repository. Performance Based Success Criteria - 1-3 Months: - Familiarize oneself with company culture, policies, escalation paths, and internal systems. - Complete training and onboarding. - Learn the various systems used in daily operations. - Participate in team meetings and events. - 4-6 Months: - Begin managing defined customer work triaged by your Technical Account Manager cohorts. - Adhere to VIP program deliverables including task tracking against active initiatives. - Prioritize tasks, escalate blockers, communicate effectively, and demonstrate problem resolution, personal growth, and adaptability. - Support data validation, report creation, performance troubleshooting, and config changes as needed. - 7 Months & beyond: - Manage a full client portfolio. - Operate as a trusted technical partner, supporting the TAM at a strategic level. - Independently deliver core TAM activities including configuration work, troubleshooting & support, and documentation of changes and existing build. - Generate usage, performance, and status reporting (flagging important data points). - Participate in journey/plan execution. - After 12 months, perform all duties of a TAM, including conducting a complete Annual Health Check and supporting value tracking & outcomes.
