Model Based Software Engineer

Job Requirements

  • Strong experience in Model-Based Software Design (MBSD)
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink (industry experience preferred)
  • Experience working within complex or safety-critical systems
  • Understanding of requirements capture and standards review
  • Ability to work within structured development environments
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
  • Experience in model-based development or simulation roles
  • Exposure to regulated engineering environments (aerospace, defence, etc.)

Qualifications - Proven experience in full stack development, with working knowledge of modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js). - Demonstrated experience supporting or building software factory environments, including CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and platform engineering. - Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery in a scaled environment. - Experience enabling enterprise digital delivery, including integration across platforms such as Salesforce, Drupal, Dynamics, or similar systems. - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with backend technologies (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby). - Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL). - Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and tools such as JIRA and Confluence. - Experience with design systems, reusable UI components, and accessibility standards (Section 508 / USWDS alignment) is strongly preferred. - Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly within federal or regulated environments. Requirements - Minimum of 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), AWS Certified Developer, or equivalent are preferred. - Certifications or training in DevSecOps, UX Design, Accessibility (Section 508), or Cloud Platforms are a plus.
