Role Description We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer (.NET) to help scale our client, a field service management platform powering large-scale inspection operations. You’ll work on the core backend (APIs, business logic, data layer) behind the company’s workflow, form builder, and report engines—focusing on simplifying a mature codebase and building scalable, configuration-driven systems that support enterprise clients without custom development. This is a senior IC role with real ownership over system design and backend architecture as the platform evolves toward cloud scale. Key Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems using .NET - Simplify and refactor a mature, feature-rich codebase (improving structure, clarity, and maintainability) - Develop clean, consistent, and consumer-friendly REST APIs - Design modular, well-bounded system components - Build and enhance configuration-driven platform capabilities (no-code/low-code style abstractions) - Optimize database performance (queries, execution plans, indexing) - Ensure system reliability (logging, failure handling, data integrity) - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (frontend, mobile, QA) Qualifications - Strong experience with .NET (Core and/or Framework) - Solid experience with Entity Framework and SQL Server - Strong SQL skills (query optimization, debugging performance issues) - Proven experience building and designing REST APIs - Strong systems thinking and ability to design modular, scalable architectures - Experience working with production systems and maintaining long-term code quality Requirements - Experience refactoring complex or legacy systems (Nice to Have) - Experience building configuration-driven or extensible platforms (Nice to Have) - Familiarity with AWS or cloud-based architectures (Nice to Have) - Experience deploying applications on IIS (Nice to Have) - Exposure to large-scale enterprise systems (Nice to Have) Benefits - High-impact role shaping a product at a key scaling stage - Work on a platform used by large enterprise clients - Strong growth trajectory toward global expansion and Gartner recognition - Competitive Package paid in USD
