Role Description Support Global Key Account Manager (GKAM) in executing commercial activities to achieve company targets for assigned Japanese OEM accounts, with approximately 60% of focus and resource allocation dedicated to two-wheeler business (Suzuki, Yamaha, and Honda) and 40% to four-wheeler business. Act as the primary interface with OEM headquarters in Japan, while proactively collaborating with Regional Account Managers (RAMs), with a specific focus on developing regions such as ASEAN, India, and global production sites to address business requirements from overseas subsidiaries and joint ventures, based on the business needs. Give a strong focus on new business development while ensuring overall account profitability through VA/VE initiatives and kaizen activities, delivering value to customers and generating internal cost saving after SOP. Drive the business opportunities by maximizing the advantages of joint venture partners, while strategically promoting company’s global capabilities and competitive strengths. Main Tasks - Ensure to comply with company’s disciplines, e.g. EHS, Compliance, Anti-Trust, Code of Conducts, etc. - Collect and provide insights to support Management to develop annual budget (SPA) and long-term plan on Japanese OEMs (including light duty passenger, motorcycle and general engine, others), execute actions to achieve the business growth in whole project lifecycle under GKAM’s supervision, including: - Approach phase: - Network with key persons in Purchase & Development in Japan. - Build strategy to penetrate development activity. - Build communication strategy to align globally. - (Internal) Define NECC/BASF responsibility in each process. - Pre-Development & Development phase: - Organize and facilitate technical meeting. - Gather project schedule from customer. - Project management. Customer conducts technical evaluation in Japan. - Technical sample preparation, delivery and documentation. Communication with related ECMS production sites. - Expanding business phase: - Keep regular meetings with key persons to update business situation. - Expand relationship SCM & Quality in customer organization. - Obtain next development schedule & build commercial strategy. - Lead technical exchange meeting to influence customer development activity. - Other special projects/tasks assigned by supervisor. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical Engineering or related commercial/engineering fields). - Experience: Minimum 3-5 years’ combined experience in engineering, sales, business development, strategic marketing, and/or key account management in a multinational company of automotive/motorcycle industry. - Strong superior communication, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with key decision makers at all organizational levels, both externally with customers and internally with the regional and global management teams. - Willing and able to travel both domestically (up to 25% of working time) and internationally (up to three times per year). - Fluent in both spoken and written Japanese and English. - Work Arrangement: Ability to work remotely in accordance with company policy, while maintaining effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and external customers.
