Business Intelligence Developer

Ochsner Health

• Oversees all stages of the business intelligence cycle including understanding business objective, collecting business requirements and translating them into data requirements. • Designing and developing reports or dashboards (code and visualization). • Scheduling and deployment of business intelligence components in accordance with supplied standards and best practices. • Completing accurate and timely documentation. • Collaborates with business and technology departments to understand system data and its use, data analysis and validation, and providing support around the data and how it is integrated. • Monitors production systems for issues and resolves issues or elevate them for resolution when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems (MIS), business, or related field.
  • 1 year of experience with SQL programming language, data analysis and profiling, relational database systems, reporting, dashboards and business intelligence systems.
  • 1 year of experience as business analyst, collaborating with end users to define metrics and business requirements.
  • 1 year of experience with Oracle, SQL programming language, and data analysis and profiling (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience with data visualization using Tableau, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise edition and/or Crystal Reports (preferred).
  • 1 year of healthcare experience (preferred).
  • SQL and data analysis skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective critical thinking and analytical skills and ability to apply those skills to meet business needs.
  • Knowledge of reporting and business intelligence concepts and ability to collaborate with end users to define metrics and business requirements.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple demands.
