Senior Structural Engineer – Substation
NV5
• Act as the responsible engineer and client point of contact for substation power delivery projects. • Assist in marketing and promotion efforts to add new regional clients. • Prepare, review, and P.E. seal technical calculation reports and construction documents meeting client and NV5 requirements. • Develop your career via peer-learning through sharing knowledge with other experienced engineers and train and mentor junior staff. • Travel to client sites as needed. • Mentor junior staff.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program is required.
- M.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive in structural design engineering experience within substation or transmission line projects.
- Other structural design experience (i.e. bridges, or building design) is a plus.
- Experience with at least one of the following: RISA, MathCAD, and/or PLS software suite.
- Physical substation design experience is strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license.
