Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Elixir Fullstack Engineer to join our empowered product team, building simple, elegant software from complex requirements. This is real product work - meaningful, fast-paced, and focused on impact. We’re a small, hands-on team that owns a single product end to end. Start date: June 1st, 2026 or July 1, 2026. Tasks - Build and maintain a high-quality, maintainable codebase written in Elixir with Phoenix, LiveView, TailwindCSS and daisyUI. - Prototype early and often, encouraging team members to move forward on their own accord. - Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other Engineers to find smart solutions that balance speed, quality, and simplicity. - Shape our architecture for reliability, scalability, and developer happiness. - Build a clean, maintainable and tested codebase. - Take ownership of privacy and security aspects from the start, including encryption, data separation, and GDPR compliance. - Contribute ideas to improve our development process, stack, and team culture. Qualifications - Several years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer, ideally with Elixir or another Ruby. - Care about code quality, balancing pragmatism with craftsmanship. - Enjoy working in small, empowered teams where you can shape both the product and its development. - Possess a product mindset, exploring unclear aspects instead of waiting for perfect specs. - Understand the basics of GDPR and secure software design. - Curious, reflective, and enjoy learning from failed experiments. - Professional-level English is required; German is a plus. - Remote work is possible, but hybrid in Berlin is ideal. • Design, build, and operate high-performance, low-latency services across the App Foundations portfolio — Python/Django, Go, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, and ElasticSearch — in close partnership with engineers, designers, PMs, and EMs across R&D. • Lead end-to-end delivery of platform features and stability workstreams — from tech design and PRR through launch, post-launch ops, and long-term ownership. • Raise the operational bar: drive SLO-backed reliability work on Tier-0 systems like Notifications and LMS, improve our observability and on-call posture, and reduce unplanned work on the systems you own. • Contribute to our LLM inference platform (LMS) — model routing and fallback, provider integrations (Azure OpenAI, Bedrock), batch/async inference, cost attribution, and the safety rails that let product teams ship AI features without reinventing the stack. • Build AI-native internal tools that change how the team operates: automated ticket triage, on-call copilots, post-mortem drafting, customer-request classifiers — following the precedent of our Nora workflow and existing Claude skills. • Mentor other engineers, drive tech design and PR reviews, and be a credible SME for the systems you own. • Partner with product managers, TPMs, and peer platform teams (Portal, Customer Journey, Data Security, FedRAMP) to land complex cross-team initiatives cleanly. • Participate in hiring: write questions, run loops, and help bring the next wave of AF engineers on board.

• Lead teams building and delivering federated co-folding models • Build and implement ML applications in structural biology • Own delivery against committed milestones ensuring high-quality model releases • Translate ambiguous scientific and technical goals into clear plans, priorities, and decisions • Guide evaluation decisions and build deliverables for external stakeholders • Surface risks, blockers, and technical trade-offs with clear recommendations • Align consortium members on objectives, evaluation criteria, and delivery expectations
