Role Description We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, formal proof writing, academic assessment design, question authoring, and structured mathematical content review. This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on high-quality mathematics assessment development, multiple-choice question writing, academic content verification, reference solution review, and rigorous mathematical reasoning evaluation. Selected professionals will apply their mathematics expertise to author, review, and validate challenging assessment materials across core mathematical domains. Key Responsibilities - Mathematics Question Authoring - Create original, challenging multiple-choice questions across core mathematics domains. - Design questions that test deep conceptual understanding, formal reasoning, proof-based thinking, and applied problem-solving. - Ensure each question is precise, self-contained, unambiguous, and answerable based on the information provided. - Develop plausible answer choices that challenge advanced learners and expert reviewers. - Reasoning, Solution Writing & Difficulty Calibration - Write clear reference solutions in structured markdown format. - Rate question difficulty across levels such as introductory undergraduate, advanced undergraduate, or postgraduate-level expertise. - Provide academic references from reputable sources such as peer-reviewed journals, university materials, or recognized mathematical resources. - Ensure solutions are accurate, concise, logically sound, and aligned with the intended mathematical concept. - Question Verification & Academic Review - Review pre-written mathematics questions for accuracy, clarity, rigor, completeness, and solvability. - Flag issues involving ambiguity, missing assumptions, weak distractors, unclear wording, or incorrect answer logic. - Edit questions where needed and document the rationale for changes. - Maintain high standards for mathematical precision, academic quality, and assessment reliability. Qualifications - Advanced expertise in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or closely related quantitative fields. - Strong command of graduate-level mathematical concepts, formal proof writing, and rigorous reasoning. - Experience authoring, reviewing, teaching, grading, or verifying academic assessment content. - Ability to express complex mathematical ideas clearly and concisely in written English. - Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle logical, technical, or conceptual issues. - Comfort working independently on asynchronous academic review tasks. Educational Background - PhD or doctoral candidacy in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field is highly relevant. - Master's degree may be suitable for candidates with exceptional depth in a specific mathematics subdomain. - Equivalent experience in advanced research, teaching, academic writing, mathematical competition writing, assessment design, or scholarly review may also be valuable. Position Summary: The Procedural Specialist promotes BD products to customers and potential customers through clinical support and education within a defined geographic area and as directed by the Regional Manager. Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal): - Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on technical matters relating to BDPI products through case support, conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one in-servicing, and/or available internal/external physician education training programs. - Establishes and maintains relationships with customers, hospitals and physicians. - Obtains new users and applications for company products and services. - Observes and reports market trends which affect BDPI sales, service and product development. - Represents BDPI in accordance with policies and procedures. - Processes customer complaints and returns in accordance with established procedures and policy. - Maintains company automobile and company property. - Complete and processes BDPI reports including but not limited to: Procedural Specialist reports, expense reports, monthly product tracking reports and complaint reports in accordance with established procedures and policies. - Fulfills the duty of a Territory Manager in vacant territories and supports endovascular procedures as directed by the District Manager. Required Qualifications: - Product knowledge and all features and benefits of BDPI product - Surgical and endovascular procedure knowledge, adequate to support clinical cases - Basic anatomy Medical and surgical terminology Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in the Operating Room, Interventional Radiology Lab, or Cardiac Cath Lab. - Current credentialing and / or certification in respective clinical discipline. - Advanced knowledge of vascular access management, vascular surgery, and endovascular medicine preferred. - Strong time management skills with an ability to maintain numerous priorities and meet established deadlines. - Self-motivated, takes on additional responsibilities, and manages priorities with minimal supervision. - Frequent travel required. Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree or B.S. in Nursing, Cardiovascular, Radiology, Vascular Surgery or other equivalent technical discipline.
