Role Description The Product Analyst supports the Product Team and their client business processes and operations by maintaining and enhancing existing products and creating new ones. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and technical expertise to work with large datasets, derive insights, and deliver value to stakeholders as well as product management and development experience. The Product Analyst combines operational, technical, and analytic skills with problem-solving and communication abilities. You will collaborate with and work closely with Senior Data Analyst and/or Product Owner(s) to ensure successful project execution. Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: Operational Execution: - Understand and communicate client business needs and issues, operating rules, data structures, and standard operating procedures. - Execute and suggest improvements to pre-defined operational procedures. - Implement process improvement in operational workflows, working with Senior Data Analysts and Product Owners. - Assist Product Owners to streamline the ideas to development processes, and the technical requirements processes. Product Development: - Enhance and maintain data products by understanding the data, product(s)/offering(s), client needs, and business goals. - Collaborate with stakeholders regarding business objectives. - Support product management with product development, and execution. - Partner with Product management to create, maintain and update roadmap documentation. - Assist teams towards common objectives and document the solutions/decisions made. - Create technical requirements, user stories and test plans as part of an Agile methodological approach. Data Analysis: - Compare datasets / various inputs to ensure data quality and derive actionable insights. - Apply quality checks and validations to the product delivery, reporting results and elaborative summary for internal team and important stakeholders. Stakeholder collaboration: - Coordinate with stakeholders across different time zones to ensure smooth working within timelines. - Assist engineering teams with knowledge transfer and testing of new operational procedures and enhancements. - Facilitate knowledge transfer and overall product knowledge for engineering, Engagement and other teams. - Partner with stakeholders e.g. Engagement and Product Owners to understand client business needs and pain points with the intention to write user stories that address those needs. - Work closely with product team: Owners, developers and testers to ensure that written requirements are clearly stated, and comprehensive. Knowledge development: - Build subject matter expertise in operational processes, data tools, content, and necessary technology, and Scrum / Agile methodologies. - Remain updated on tools, techniques, and working models to enhance processes. - Develop functional understanding of the product offering via the technology and deployment stack, to facilitate writing effective user stories, requirements and user acceptance criteria. Project Management: - Work on multiple client tasks simultaneously, strengthening analytical, task management, and communication skills. - Keep track of unplanned internal and clients’ tasks arising from any developments to existing or new products. - Maximize time management skills to balance workload in order to complete multiple deadline driven projects with a minimum of supervisory input. - Coordinate meetings and prepare status update documentation / meetings for ongoing projects. Research and Problem-Solving: - Conduct secondary research e.g. marketplace conditions, competitive environment, best practices to keep the product quality best-in class while being able to address clients’ questions related to the same. - Coordinate and co-lead design sessions to document feature requirements and guide stakeholders towards decision-making. - Investigate issues and recommend solutions to improve processes. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics/Communication, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. - 1 – 2 years of experience using data mining languages/tools like SQL (for analysts), Excel. Exposure to stored procedures is a plus. - Detail orientation with a strong focus on quality, analytics, and operations. - Experience in Pharmaceuticals, Managed Markets Consulting or Analytics Consulting with broad based experience in managed care, and/or analytics will be an advantage. - Proven ability to work with global teams across different time-zones. Requirements - Masters in these disciplines OR MBA/PGDM/Equivalent. - Experience in product development, management, or operations. - Strong knowledge of US Healthcare, payer/provider datasets, and managed care analytics. - Familiarity with tools like Retool, Power BI and Power Query.
