Role Description We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and scale our full-stack engineering teams across backend (.NET) and frontend (React). In this role, you will be responsible for technical leadership, delivery excellence, and team development while ensuring alignment with business goals. You will drive the architecture of modern, scalable systems, oversee engineering best practices, and foster a high-performance engineering culture. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking. Key Responsibilities - Team Leadership & Management - Lead, mentor, and grow a team of backend and frontend engineers - Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement - Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and hiring - Architecture & Technical Strategy - Define and drive system architecture across .NET microservices and React applications - Ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of systems - Champion Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns - Backend Engineering Oversight (.NET) - Guide development of DDD-based microservices and distributed systems - Oversee API design (REST, gRPC) and event-driven architectures - Ensure data integrity, performance tuning, and database optimization (SQL Server, EF Core) - Frontend Engineering Oversight (React) - Lead the design and development of scalable, maintainable React applications - Ensure best practices in state management, performance optimization, and UI architecture - Promote reusable component design and consistent UI/UX standards - Delivery & Execution - Own delivery timelines, sprint planning, and technical estimations - Ensure high-quality releases through code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines - Collaborate with Product, QA, and stakeholders to align priorities - DevOps & Operations - Oversee CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) - Ensure system reliability, monitoring, and incident management processes - Security & Compliance - Enforce secure coding practices and modern authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect) - Ensure compliance with best practices in data protection and system security Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent - 8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on expertise in .NET and C# - 3+ years experience as a Manager or Lead - Proven experience managing and scaling engineering teams - Strong experience with React.js and modern frontend architectures - Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and DDD - Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, and event-driven architecture - Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, and performance tuning - Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments - Solid understanding of software design principles (SOLID, Clean Architecture, design patterns) - Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in high-growth startups or scaling environments - Familiarity with Angular is a plus - Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms - Background in building high-availability, enterprise-grade systems
