Slope
• Provide operational support to the underwriting and credit review process. • Assist credit risk in analyzing customer financial statements and overall business financial health. • Iterate with customer success, product and engineering teams on the customer experience. • Interact with customers and partners directly on requests. • Educate internal teams and customers on Slope’s risk policies. • Work directly with internal and external stakeholders on documentation of procedures. • Partner with data science, customer success, and credit risk to develop KPIs. • Ensure timely repayment from customers through outbound and inbound communication.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years experience in risk management and/or underwriting, especially in executing risk strategies or policies
- Experience with consumer / small business lending and payments risk management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in handling complex and challenging conversations with customers.
- Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a relentless drive.
- Excel and enjoy a collaborative and in-person workplace.
- Comfortable with handling ambiguity and creating processes from scratch.
- A demonstrated ability to get stuff done.
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Iterative mindset.
- Strong skill set with excel, SQL, Python.

Role Description Conduct property risk engineering surveys to understand site operations and evaluate exposures from hazards, and make recommendations to meet Client, NFPA and FM Global codes and standards. - Produce detailed property risk engineering reports addressing all aspects of operations, hazards and exposures and risk management practices. - Develop loss expectancies for recommendations and MFL, PML & NLE. - Ability to assess high hazard occupancies (flammable liquids, combustible dusts, etc.). - Provide consulting advice to clients on how to minimize losses and how to implement recommendations. - Provide loss prevention advice to clients, insurance company partners and other stakeholders. - Conduct desktop reviews of project plans and documents to provide an expert opinion of risks and risk quality for insurance underwriters and/or end clients.
