Technical Project Manager, Software Development

• Project ownership: End-to-end responsibility for software projects – from requirements to go-live, with a focus on delivery and outcomes • Requirements management: Capture, structure and prioritize technical and business requirements in close coordination with Product and Engineering • Team coordination: Work closely with development teams, remove blockers and ensure smooth project progress • Delivery & quality: Responsible for timelines, deliverables and implementation quality in alignment with the team • Technical involvement: Actively participate in technical discussions and decisions (backend, APIs, system behavior) without being primarily responsible for hands-on development • Stakeholder management: Direct coordination with internal and external stakeholders, clear communication of progress, risks and dependencies • Asynchronous collaboration: Structured, written communication (e.g., via Slack, ticketing systems), with an intentionally reduced meeting load • Distributed setup collaboration: Work with distributed teams across locations and time zones, focusing on clear processes and individual ownership
Job Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in technical project management, as a Delivery Manager, or in a comparable role within a software environment
- Alternatively, initial experience in software development with an interest in project and coordination tasks
- Basic understanding of software development, APIs and system architectures
- Experience collaborating with development teams and technical stakeholders
- Structured and independent working style with a strong focus on delivery
- Ability to formulate requirements clearly and translate between the business side and engineering
- Confident use of tools such as Jira, Confluence or comparable systems
- Initial experience with agile working methods (e.g., Scrum or Kanban)
- Excellent German and good English skills
