• Support the full contract lifecycle, including intake, drafting, review, negotiation support, execution, distribution, tracking, maintenance, and termination. • Apply established templates, playbooks, clause standards, and checklists to facilitate efficient workflow and enable timely deal execution in a remote, high-volume environment. • Maintain and update, under the direction of Commercial Counsel, contract templates, clause libraries, playbooks, and related tools to ensure alignment with business needs and legal standards. • Identify nonstandard contract terms, elevated risk issues, or matters falling outside established guardrails and escalate appropriately to Commercial Counsel. • Prepare clear summaries of contract terms, key obligations, risks, and responsibilities for business stakeholders. • Coordinates the extraction, review, and organization of data and documents required to respond to data requests. • Plays an active role in scaling the Legal function by maintaining and assisting in improving standardized processes, tools, and best practices that support business growth. • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders—including Sales, Finance, Billing, Operations, and other business teams—to facilitate efficient contract workflows and resolve process related issues. • Provide guidance to internal teams on contract terms, contracting procedures, escalation pathways, and internal legal policies. • Serve as a primary point of contact for contract related questions, data requests, and day-to-day operational support. • Assist with legal research, drafting, special projects, and broader legal operations initiatives as needed. • Support continuous improvement efforts across the legal. • Coordinate with and support Compliance and Audit teams on contract related matters as needed and ensure alignment with internal processes and documentation standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
  • 4-6+ years of experience supporting commercial contracting in-house and/or at a law firm (drafting, redlining, negotiation support, and contract administration) in a high-volume environment
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage the full contract lifecycle (intake through execution, storage, renewals/termination) for routine agreements within established guardrails, maintaining accurate contract records, summaries, and stakeholder-ready status reporting
  • Strong drafting, redlining, and issue-spotting skills using standard templates, playbooks, clause libraries, and checklists; exercises sound judgment to propose fallback language, identify nonstandard terms, and escalate elevated risk issues with clear context and recommendations
  • Proficiency with contract lifecycle management (CLM) and document tools (e.g., contract repositories, e-signature, redlining/version control) and strong command of Microsoft Office/Teams in a remote setting
  • Working knowledge of common commercial legal and compliance concepts (confidentiality, data protection/security, audit support); familiarity with healthcare/privacy frameworks (e.g., HIPAA/BAAs) a plus
  • Experience supporting healthcare-related commercial arrangements, including working with payers and/or government agencies (e.g., Medicaid/Medicare programs, state agencies) and navigating related contracting requirements
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and process driven; able to coordinate across Sales, Finance, Billing, Operations, and Compliance to remove friction, meet deadlines, and help drive process improvements (e.g., intake best practices, templates, reporting/metrics) across contracting workflows
