Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Description As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be the backbone of Nexla’s high-scale, AI-driven integration platform. We are seeking a dedicated infrastructure expert to ensure our systems run flawlessly as we process billions of rows of data for top-tier enterprises. By taking ownership of our core infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes environments, you will directly accelerate our engineering team's productivity and guarantee the reliability of mission-critical data flows. This is a unique opportunity to shape the foundation of a product that is defining the next wave of intelligent, context-aware data movement. Responsibilities - Kubernetes Management: Take end-to-end ownership of Amazon EKS infrastructure, specifically managing the creation, scaling, and seamless version upgrading of clusters. - CI/CD Automation: Design, implement, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI to ensure rapid, secure software delivery. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Architect, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure utilizing IaC principles with Terraform. - Configuration Management: Automate server provisioning and application deployment processes, primarily using Ansible. - Cloud Architecture & Security: Design and explain AWS architectures while identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures through continuous vulnerability assessments. - Operational Excellence: Drive engineering teams toward SecDevOps best practices and create monitoring dashboards by integrating API statuses and application logs. - Incident Management: Perform root cause analysis and lead incident management to facilitate rapid iteration and massive growth. - Collaboration: Partner with SREs, L2/Support, and developers to deploy and scale new product features and improve production monitoring in a large-scale Linux environment. Qualifications - Experience: 8+ years of total experience, with a strong focus specifically in DevOps and SRE. - EKS Mastery (Must Have): Proven hands-on experience in the creation and upgrading of Amazon EKS clusters. - CI/CD Expertise (Must Have): Deep understanding of continuous integration practices and CI/CD methodology for both containerized and non-containerized applications. - IaC (Must Have): Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (and AWS CloudFormation). - Configuration Management: Experience with configuration management tools; Ansible is highly preferred (experience with Chef or Salt is also valued). - Technical Breadth: Strong understanding of Linux systems administration, networking, and large cluster orchestration. - Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, and API Gateway. - Programming: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python. - Soft Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a proven ability to coordinate effectively within a team and with customers.
