• Designing, developing, and implementing data & analytics solutions • Define data solution architecture, including data integration, data warehousing, and reporting frameworks • Develop scalable and secure data solutions aligned with client business objectives • Design and optimize data models for analytics and reporting • Oversee ETL processes and ensure data quality and governance • Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions • Provide thought leadership on BI best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends • Assist in Presales and client problem definition phase of an Azure data engagement • Implement and manage BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker) • Monitor and enhance data system performance, scalability, and security

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 7+ years in data solution build and architecture roles
  • 10+ years of advanced working SQL knowledge and experience, with experience across multiple data modeling patterns
  • Experience with defining and executing on a data strategy a plus
  • Experience on Azure and GCP data stack is definitely a plus

Leads and directs involved ABB and third-party stakeholders to ensure that a coordinated technically and commercially fit solution is accepted by the customer. The work model is #LI-remote . This role is open globally, but location is set in the APAC region – Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Philippines. This role is contributing to the Distribution Solutions Division. You will be mainly accountable for: - Engaging with existing and potential customers, consultants, and contractors to develop and maintain generic or customer-specific data center electrification solutions. - Assessing commercial viability with respect to competitiveness, delivery lead time, and site works requirements for proposed solutions. - Leading and directing involved ABB and third-party stakeholders to ensure that a technically and commercially fit solution is accepted by the customer or appointed designate. - Reviewing and assessing customer project specifications to deliver required electrical solutions, including technical compliance statements, single line diagrams, schematic diagrams, layout and equipment drawings, and relevant equipment specifications. - Proactively identifying and proposing improvements to existing electrification topologies and system concepts used. - Monitoring and acting on customer and ABB internal feedback on deployed solutions to further improve the technical concept and the cost position. - Supporting product management, R&D, and Corporate Research with guidance on required attributes for products and solutions that will improve ABB’s market position. - Keeping abreast with and participating in global and national standardization organizations, global industry forums that have an impact on ABB’s current and future electrification portfolio. Qualifications - Electrical engineering degree with one or more of electrical consulting, development, engineering, or commissioning experiences. - Fully oriented on data center technical and commercial trends that have a direct or indirect impact on current and future electrification schemes required. - Detailed knowledge about ABB’s global electrification portfolio, such as MV and LV breakers, busducts and switchgear; UPS, SCADA, automation and protection, and relevant third-party equipment such as transformers. - Well familiar with the offering of major competitors and channel partners active in the data center segment. - Experience in leading, motivating, and coaching ad-hoc project teams and individuals. - At ease with building and maintaining a culture of innovation by attracting and motivating internal and external contributors. - Full proficiency in English technical language. Role Description The Senior Principal Database Architect demonstrates mastery-level troubleshooting skills able to quickly solve the most complex production issues. - Perform day-to-day DBA support tasks and on-call duties. - Quickly learn and onboard emerging database technologies in the Cloud such as Postgres/Aurora, Snowflake, Document DB. - Manage vendor escalations and high severity incident requests. - Keep the overall DBMS technology stack current. - Design database deployment models that meet application RPO and RTO objectives. - Evaluate new technologies as needed including Cloud-based solutions. - Provide technical leadership to all DBA’s on the team.
