Senior Unreal Engineer – Switch
Demiurge Studios
• Manage ports to XSX|S, PS5 and Switch 2 • Optimize and specialize code as needed to pass console certification • Integrate first party services and SDKs as necessary to pass console certification • Work with artists to identify and address asset performance concerns • Mentor other engineers to develop more performant code • Develop tools to help detect and correct performance failures • Document best development practices for successful porting • Provide time estimates and development plans for your work
Job Requirements
- 5+ years professional software development experience
- Professional software development experience in C++
- Professional experience developing software with the Unreal Game Engine
- Experience porting to mobile and/or Switch
- Subject matter expert in rendering pipelines and GPU debugging
- Strong programming and software architecture skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve development goals with minimal supervision
- Experience with performance optimization
- Good communication with non-technical audience about complex topics
- Technical leadership in the form of long term planning and short term task breakdown
- BS or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.), or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
