Role Description The Telehealth Psychotherapist will be instrumental in delivering high-quality behavioral health care remotely. The caseload will focus on clients identified for telehealth treatment due to depression, anxiety, substance use, grief, and related concerns. This role emphasizes adaptability to virtual platforms, effective remote communication, and a commitment to providing exceptional telehealth behavioral health services. Responsibilities - Utilize Tele-psychotherapy, incorporating evidence-based approaches (e.g., Problem Solving Treatment, Behavior Activation Treatment, Motivational Interviewing) for remote patient education and medication adherence. - Ensure the confidentiality of every virtual therapy session with access to a private and secure working environment. - Ensure secure and encrypted channels for all client interactions, maintaining client’s privacy and confidentiality. - Effectively manage virtual communication with team members to support telehealth treatment decision-making. - Provide remote medication adherence/medication management services. - Collaborate and coordinate with in-clinic care providers to inform virtual stepped-care processes. - Evaluate the risk level of each client and develop safety planning/monitoring in coordination with the supervisor. - Engage in virtual case conferences for ongoing coordination of telehealth clients' care. - Promote and facilitate diagnostic consultations between the PCP and Consulting Psychiatrist for challenging cases. - Offer "Self-Management" support/options to clients declining coordinated care services. - Generate timely, accurate, and substantive progress notes with treatment goals and interventions. - Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client’s treatment. - Generate timely, accurate encounter forms with diagnoses and appropriate CPT Codes. - Participate in virtual one-hour weekly supervision sessions. - Stay accessible for ongoing training and certifications as per requirements. Qualifications - Master’s degree in social work. - Current license as an LMSW or LCSW in New York State. Role Description Primary responsibilities will be to provide individual, group and family therapy, education and ongoing assessment of progress to clients. Case coordination and communication across an inter-professional team is an integral component of the role. The Occupational Therapist will develop, monitor, and make recommendations for treatment and intervention plans for clients in Outpatient Services, including (but not limited to) disability management and gradual onset psychological injury program. Additionally, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for communicating with referral agencies, offering support, and guidance to clients and their families. - Competently manage clients with various mental health concerns including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders; experience with disability management and Occupational Stress is an asset. - Work therapeutically with a diverse client population through individual therapy and assessment, group therapy, or other process groups, as required. - Collaboratively develop treatment and care plans based on individual client needs utilizing occupational and rehabilitation focused service interventions, coordinating across broader clinical teams when appropriate. - Monitor client progression on recovery, identify barriers and recommend adjustments to treatment plans. - Delivers education sessions to clients, as well as to public audiences and external groups as needed. - Completes detailed documentation and charting appropriately. Prepares and completes forms, reports, and correspondence in a timely manner. - Participate in case conferences with team members and service partners. - Communicate effectively with team members and service partners within required timelines. - Collaborate effectively with team members and service partners. - Engage in ongoing professional development, maintain appropriate professional associations, and provide current documentation to the Human Resources Department. - Act as a resource person for practicum students and other professionals as assigned. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Registered Occupational Therapist in the province of residence; willing to register in other provinces with ability to practice in Nova Scotia. - Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent). - 2+ years’ experience working with clients with mental health, substance use disorders, trauma, concurrent disorders, etc. - Experience working with clients on disability services, workers compensation, etc. preferred. - Experience supporting return to work, operational stress, disability management preferred. - Experience providing care in a virtual environment an asset. - Demonstrated commitment to client-centered care. - Role models excellence in client care. - Demonstrated excellent communication, facilitation and decision-making skills. - Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team. - Strong organizational skills. - Demonstrated commitment to best practice and quality improvement. - Evidence of ongoing professional development. - Bilingual (English, French) an asset.
