GENERAL FUNCTION Leads and develops a team responsible for workforce planning, scheduling, and onboarding operations for employed doctors (ODs). Owns strategy, governance, and continuous improvement of OD labor planning, forecasting, and onboarding processes, while performing select hands-on planning and scheduling activities as needed. Operates at both strategic and executional levels—setting direction, ensuring consistency across markets, and personally executing complex or high-impact work when required. Partners with field leaders and executives to optimize workforce productivity, align resources to business needs, and drive performance against key objectives. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and develop a team responsible for doctor scheduling, onboarding, forecasting, and analytics with clear priorities and accountability • Provide strategic leadership in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of workforce planning processes • Ensure labor targets and standards align with brand strategy and drive top- and bottom-line growth; prepare short- and long-term plans • Identify performance outliers, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend action plans tied to financial and operational KPIs • Prepare leadership summaries for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Field, EyeCare, Finance, Payroll, and Accounting to support long-term strategic priorities • Serve as escalation point for complex scheduling, onboarding, and alignment issues • Own OD workforce planning strategy including forecasting accuracy, labor standards, schedule predictability, and coverage gaps • Align workforce plans with brand priorities and critical location needs • Optimize remote and in-person doctor coverage using analytics and standardized methodologies • Lead scheduling technology, onboarding workflows, documentation, and Kronos automation initiatives • Personally support select markets, urgent coverage needs, and special projects • Analyze trends, translate insights into recommendations, and represent workforce planning in cross-functional forums • Ensure on-call coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • 10–15 years’ experience in workforce planning, labor, or workforce management • Experience in a large corporate environment • Experience with workforce management systems including scheduling, payroll, and timekeeping • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Teams, Forms, PowerPoint) • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Master’s degree in Finance/Business Administration - Experience in UKG (Kronos) WFM software - Experience in Retail Service Industry - Experience in Eye Care or Health Care Services - Ability to write SQL, VBA This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business.
