Manager, Animal Relocation Driver
ASPCA
• For more than 150 years, the ASPCA has been on the frontlines to save, transform, and protect the lives of millions of animals. • Work in the field alongside a dedicated team to participate in the relocation of more than 300,000 animals. • Safely and humanely transport dogs and cats in custom built, climate-controlled vehicles, on a weekly basis. • Report directly to the Senior Manager, Animal Relocation – Performance and Engagement and have no direct reports. • Candidates must be located within a one-hour driving radius of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (Dallas, Texas) or Boston Logan International Airport (Boston, Massachusetts). • Requires extensive travel, by ground and air, including some weekends and occasional holidays.
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of and ability to use appropriate techniques for safe transport of animals and supplies
- Fear Free® certified, or required within 60 days of employment
- Flexible and calm under stress and during change
- Demonstrates strong communication and customer service skills
- Committed to building positive relationships with colleagues, shelters, vendors, departments
- Self-directed and able to work in a remote setting, demonstrating the highest level of performance, with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in reading and following extensive and complex SOPs
- Able to perform animal first aid, treatment, administration of medication, etc. to animals under supervision of a veterinarian
- Strong computer/smartphone skills (iPad, iPhone, Outlook, GPS Navigation) required
- Proficiency in Airtable and Fleetio software preferred
