Role Description GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Researcher to support the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) program. VAERS is a post-marketing safety surveillance program, collecting information about adverse events that occur after the administration of vaccines. This position can work 100% from home anywhere across the US. Responsibilities - Review case reports to determine necessary supporting documentation needed for case follow-up based on Government guidelines - Review medical records and documentation received for accuracy and completeness - Compose clinical abstracts from medical records and information received for cases in clinical follow-up - Add medical codes per the case clinical abstract to define symptoms using MedDRA medical coding terminology - Responsible for updating the VAERS database with information obtained through clinical follow-up - Perform QC review of MedDRA codes added by the medical coding staff to the initial report - Collaborate with other units to provide support for daily operations - Perform triaging of VAERS reports received for priority and assignment Qualifications - Bachelor’s in Nursing (preferred) or Clinical healthcare provider - 2 years nursing, clinical or public health experience - Medical abstracting and coding experience (MedDRA, ICD-10, CPT) preferred - Case management experience - Proficient in current computer technology Requirements - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team to adhere to deadlines Benefits - A variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts - Dental plan options - A vision plan - 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match - Full flex work weeks where possible - A variety of paid time off plans, including vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave - 15 days of paid leave per calendar year for vacations, personal business, and illness - 10 paid holidays per year - Paid Family Leave program providing up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees - Short and long-term disability benefits - Life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness and business travel and accident insurance

Role Description AIR is seeking a Senior Researcher to join the Human and Community Development program to contribute to research and evaluation projects that seek to inform and improve community wellbeing.
