As a Junior Motion Designer, you are a hybrid creative—equally comfortable designing static layouts in Figma as you are animating them. You will support a new Argentina Motion Team in delivering high-volume, hyper-personalized content. What You’ll Do - Hybrid Execution: Create digital animations, video edits, and static assets based on established brand guidelines. - GenAI Integration: Explore and utilize Generative AI tools (e.g., Weavy, Freepik, Replicate) to streamline asset creation and enhance creative output. - Asset Management: Source images, footage, and organize project files across Figma, After Effects, and Jitter for efficient team collaboration. - Template Utilization: Work within existing templates to ensure speed and consistency. - Growth: Actively seek feedback and embrace new tools to develop your hybrid design skills. As the Lead Motion Designer, you are the people leader and creative engine of the Argentina Motion Team. You are accountable for the department's output and the successful management of your team. You ensure our culture and quality remain uncompromised as we scale, acting as a bridge between the local talent and the global DEPT®/Studios team. What You’ll Do - People Management: Lead, manage, and inspire the motion design team; responsible for performance reviews, resource allocation, and team satisfaction. - Strategic Oversight: Oversee all design output, ensuring the team meets the highest standards for our clients. - Art Direction: Collaborate with creative leadership to set the visual tone and motion language for major campaigns. - AI Strategy: Lead the adoption of Generative AI (e.g., Weavy, Freepik, Replicate) at a departmental level to find production efficiencies and stay ahead of industry trends. - Pitching: Support the creative process by pitching ideas and concepts to mid-level client stakeholders and internal leads. - Workflow: Refine the intersection of Figma, After Effects, and Jitter to ensure the team is set up for success and on-time delivery. - Culture & Values: Advocate for DEPT® values, fostering an inclusive, high-performing, and social environment. • Design, coordinate, and submit Fire Protection drawings, hydraulic calculations, seismic brace calculations, and material/equipment schedules. Stock list projects for fabrication and approve fabrication quotes. • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and insurance requirements as well as all fire and building code requirements. • Provide updates to purchasing as installation schedule or change orders require modifications to meet installation schedule and deadlines and other requirements such the Buy American Act. • Produce shop list utilizing computer software for fabrication of system piping. • Integrate other mechanical systems to ensure successful coordination with the fire suppression system and must be able to recognize potential conflicts with other trades. • Maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies.

You will be instrumental in setting the standard for a new Argentina team, bridging the gap between art direction and technical execution while fostering the growth of junior talent. - Mentorship: Take an active role in the professional development of junior designers, providing regular 1:1 creative guidance and technical coaching. - Art Direction: Collaborate with creative leadership to set the visual tone and motion language for major campaigns. - GenAI Leadership: Implement and standardize the use of Generative AI tools (Weavy, Freepik, Replicate) within the team's workflow to drive efficiency. - Hybrid Systems: Develop complex component libraries in Figma and motion systems in After Effects/Jitter. - Presentation: Confidently present creative work and project updates to internal stakeholders and clients. - Quality Control: Take accountability for the 'flawless' output of the local team. Qualifications - 4+ years experience in a creative agency with a track record of mentoring or managing junior creatives. - Advanced-level proficiency of After Effects, Figma, and Jitter. - 3D, Touch Designer or Cavalry experience is a significant bonus. - Proven ability to integrate AI-driven tools into a professional creative workflow. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver feedback sensitively and professionally. - English proficiency for collaboration with the global DEPT® team.
