Role Description RailPros is seeking a Railroad Safety Instructor to deliver high-quality training programs to our clients. This position plays a vital role in ensuring participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to meet industry safety standards, including CFR 243 compliance. As a key representative of RailPros, you’ll work directly with clients to maintain our reputation for safety, quality, and customer-focused service. What You’ll Do: - Training Delivery: - Conduct engaging virtual railroad safety training for contractors, operators, and other personnel. - Provide technical support to trainees during and after sessions. - Curriculum Support: - Collaborate with senior instructors to enhance training materials. - Offer feedback to ensure content stays current with industry standards and participant needs. - Client Interaction: - Serve as the primary contact during training sessions, addressing client questions and concerns professionally. - Compliance & Quality Assurance: - Ensure training meets RailPros’ standards and regulatory requirements. - Maintain accurate training records for compliance and reporting. - Collaboration & Development: - Coordinate with team members to plan training schedules. - Participate in professional development and mentorship opportunities. Qualifications - Required: - 2+ years of railroad industry experience. - Fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal. - 1+ years of experience in training, public speaking, or on-the-job training (OJT). - High school diploma or equivalent. - Knowledge of FRA regulations (e.g., CFR 243, GCOR) and practical safety rules in transportation, engineering, or mechanical operations. - Preferred: - Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in safety, transportation, education, or related fields. - Experience in railroad operations (e.g., Engineer, Conductor, Track Laborer, Inspector). - Certification in training or safety, such as First Aid/AED instructor credentials. Requirements - Excellent verbal communication and presentation abilities. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems (LMS). - Ability to travel (up to 75%) and work in diverse environments.
