• Your responsibilities will span technical leadership, team management and hands-on execution. • Set and drive technical strategy aligned with company objectives, balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and long term platform health. • Manage and develop a small team of engineers, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development. • Remain hands on in the codebase, contributing to architecture decisions and implementing critical features and infrastructure improvements. • Own platform architecture and evolution, ensuring our systems are secure, performant, scalable, and maintainable. • Lead high impact initiatives, especially those involving complex technical tradeoffs, cross functional dependencies, or architectural change. • Champion a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement across the engineering team.

• Build & Operate Reliable Systems; Design, deploy, and support scalable APIs and services, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and observability • Lead Technical Initiatives; Own the design and delivery of major back-end projects, contribute to architectural decisions, and help evolve the platform • Maintain High Engineering Standards; Write high-quality, well-tested code, participate in rigorous code reviews, and continuously improve development and release practices • Collaborate with Peers; Work closely with other experienced engineers to solve complex problems, share context, and make thoughtful technical tradeoffs • Own Outcomes; Independently prioritize work, manage large initiatives end-to-end, and take responsibility for system health and business impact

• Design, build, and deliver features across the platform. That means internal tools that power construction operations and customer-facing experiences for homeowners. You own the full lifecycle from technical design through deployment and monitoring. • Write and deploy high-quality, production-grade code daily. • Work with product to translate messy, real-world processes into clean, reliable software. • Raise the bar across engineering. Review designs, mentor peers, improve developer experience, and help other engineers work through complex problems. • Contribute to architecture decisions, API contracts, and data models that shape how our systems scale and evolve.

• Design and build scalable platform components leveraging advanced retrieval • Design and build optimized indexing pipelines for structured and unstructured data • Build backend services for semantic and hybrid retrieval, knowledge graph construction, and retrieval orchestration • Improve retrieval quality through evaluation and observability frameworks • Design APIs for internal and external users • Optimize latency, throughput, and cost across large-scale inference and retrieval workloads • Drive technical direction for reliability and security
