Architecture Coordinator
HomeboundHomebound is the first tech-powered homebuilding company of its kind—now building in CA, TX, CO and FL.
About Us: Homebound is on a mission to make it possible for anyone, anywhere, to build a home using technology. Created by an experienced team of construction, real estate, design, and technology experts, Homebound is transforming the residential construction industry by improving the costly and inefficient process of building a home. We’ve created an entirely new way to build homes with technology powering every stage from start to finish to provide a seamless experience for our customers. Homeowners across the country can choose where they want to live, select a home plan that’s perfect for them, then personalize and buy it, all online. Homebound has raised $150M in capital from leading venture capitalists like Google, Khosla, Thrive Ventures, and we’re scaling quickly in places like Texas, Colorado and Florida. Come build your future with us. Role Overview: While Homebound’s technology platform is a key driver of both cost efficiency and customer experience, architectural design and process execution are equally critical to our success. The Architecture team ensures alignment across design, documentation, and permitting - serving as the connective thread throughout pre-construction. The Architecture Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Senior Architecture Associates through plan development across markets during pre-construction, helping ensure that plans align with the needs of the local market and homebuyer, meet Homebound standards, and remain on schedule. They will assist in capturing redlines, plan revisions, and feedback to relay back to consultants. The Architecture Coordinator will also assist in establishing and entering plan data into our tech platform. This role will support the Senior Architecture Associates. While this position will be supporting various markets and working in a primarily remote capacity, we do require that they reside in Dallas. What You'll Do: - Support pre-construction activities by coordinating with consultants, reviewing and marking up plan sets and assisting with the permitting process related to local zoning and building codes. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and ensure adherence to Homebound Architecture standards and construction specifications across all phases of design. - Review drawings at each stage of development to verify quality, consistency with standards, and alignment with budgetary and code requirements. Provide clear, constructive feedback and confirm that revisions are made accurately. - Support drafting tasks and serve as a liaison with architecture partners to relay design direction, clarify revisions, and resolve plan-related questions. - Ensure that all feedback, redlines, and direction from project leads are documented and accurately incorporated into updated drawings. - Assist project leads with the organization and tracking of architectural changes and documentation, and support entry of plan data and options. What You'll Bring: - 2+ years of relevant architectural experience. Experience in residential architecture is preferred. - An understanding of building systems integration, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. The ability to work with complex architectural drawings and ensure modifications align with project specifications and design intent is critical for maintaining timelines and quality. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both internal teams and external partners. Able to accurately mark up plans, track revisions, and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders. - Strong drafting and redlining skills are essential, with a keen eye for detail in reviewing and modifying architectural plans. Experience with industry-standard software; AutoCAD and Revit is required. - Solid understanding of how building regulations and local jurisdiction variations affect building design and construction methods, with the ability to adapt plans and details to meet local conditions. Who You Are: - Detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a focus on delivering results and ensuring high-quality coordination across teams and external partners. - Passionate about supporting the team through coordination, schedule management, and on-time task execution. Collaborative team player, skilled in documentation, communication, and aligning external partners with project goals. - Quick to adapt to new technologies and workflows to support evolving project needs. A drive to innovate and improve design workflows. - Highly organized with strong time management, able to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Committed to accuracy and attention to detail across all design documentation and updates. - Energized by working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment focused on rethinking homebuilding. Positive and proactive, with a talent for motivating others and creating a supportive team culture. - Excited to join a mission-driven company and play a key role in a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing team!
