What You'll Do Strategic & Technical Leadership - Operate with high autonomy in shaping roadmap and architecture across an emerging set of new solutions - Partner directly with senior product and business leaders to drive measurable outcomes in alignment with team and company goals - Accelerate product development and guide architectural decisions, empowering technical teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions on time and with high quality - Be hands-on as needed to support the engineering team in its ongoing efforts - Apply AI to accelerate development velocity, power product capabilities, and unlock new growth opportunities People & Operations Management - Attract, develop, and reward top engineering talent to sustain a highly engaged team - Implement and optimize operational processes to ensure alignment with Workiva's strategy, streamlining efficiencies across different Workflow solution areas - Foster an atmosphere of respect, continuous learning, humor, and a shared commitment to business goals and customer success - Enable teams to move quickly and deliver high-quality output - Actively coach managers and engineers to uphold Workiva values, resolve conflicts, and create a culture of trust and psychological safety Customer-Focused Development - Partner with product teams to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and ensure alignment with business goals, especially in creating seamless, user-focused solutions integrated with the Workiva Platform, leveraging the full power of AILead the Growth team in identifying and addressing customer challenges, delivering high-quality, user-focused solutions - Uncover new development opportunities to support Solution expansion and business growth Architectural Leadership - Oversee technical decision-making, ensuring seamless coordination across Growth product areas - Provide leadership for innovative solutions, guiding product architects, and aligning development teams with strategic objectives Organizational Product Development Planning - Align talent, resources, and structures to deliver effective product outcomes - Manage dependencies, support team capabilities, and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions. - Facilitate continuous productivity improvements within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), collaborating with cross-functional leaders for alignment and efficiency What You'll Need Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree with 10 years related experience, or Master's degree with 8 years related experience, or PhD with 6 years related experience - 5+ years in direct people management roles, including supervisor experience of managers Preferred Qualifications - Strong emotional intelligence and a proven track record of effective leadership - Experience leading engineering teams in the development of scalable B2B SaaS platforms or products over multiple releases - Broad industry knowledge with strategic insight into modern technology and architecture including the use of AI for both development and embedded in a solution - Extensive experience delivering products to external customers over multiple releases - Applied knowledge of full-stack development, with a focus on technologies such as Java/Kotlin, TypeScript, Event-based systems and Transactional (Relational, No-SQL) & Analytical (OLAP, Data warehouses / lakes) Databases - Excellent problem-solving abilities and a history of architecting and delivering scalable SaaS B2B solutions - Clear, effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Travel & Working Conditions - Up to 25% travel for team events and internal meetings - Reliable internet access for any periods of remote work How You’ll Be Rewarded ✅ Salary range in the US: $190,000.00 - $306,000.00 ✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually ✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire ✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. • Designing and building the data backbone supporting AI-driven cybersecurity and compliance systems • Collaborating alongside engineering and AI teams to enable scalable, production-ready data pipelines • Creating robust, secure, and AI-ready data infrastructure capable of supporting advanced analytics and machine learning applications • Developing and optimizing data lakes, warehouses, and data models • Implementing ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring reliability and scalability • Maintaining data quality, lineage, and observability across pipelines • Enabling analytics and reporting through well-structured datasets • Implementing secure, privacy-first data architecture

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines processing large volumes of data • Analysis of large data sets using tools such as Python & SQL • Update and optimize our data platform for speed, scalability and cost • Coordinate with different functional teams to understand and meet their data needs • Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy • Solve general data-related problems • Setting up new pipelines for the full stream/enrichment/curation process • Upkeep of source code locations • Investigating and utilising ML & AI to improve the cloud offering • Development of junior staff members
