• Drive technical direction across our Observability team, ensuring alignment between product goals, system design, and engineering execution. • Design, build, and maintain backend systems supporting NetBox Labs' SaaS and on-premise products, including open-source, source-available, and commercial offerings. • Guide how teams structure technical domains, define clear service boundaries, and evolve contracts and interfaces over time. • Collaborate with platform, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure backend systems integrate cohesively across authentication, authorization, billing, and data layers. • Mentor engineers across teams through code reviews, design sessions, and ongoing technical coaching; driving good outcomes within their domains, not just your own. • Operate what you build: participate in deployment, monitoring, and on-call rotations to ensure reliability. • Partner with product managers and engineering directors to translate roadmap goals into well-scoped engineering plans: breaking large initiatives into phases, surfacing risks early, and keeping technical and product timelines in sync. • Contribute to technical documentation, internal knowledge sharing, and raising the overall engineering bar.

• Build new features for our flagship product — the Cozey Operating System (COS) • Create in-house tools and platforms to replace third-party solutions • Develop AI agents to automate and streamline warehouse management workflows • Collaborate closely with operations and product teams to identify pain points and rapidly launch impactful solutions • Own projects end-to-end — from design and architecture to implementation and deployment

• Design, develop, and own new product functionality and/or infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling (TypeScript, React, Node.js) • Lead high impact projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to enable our business and team to scale • Set direction for critical technical surface areas, enabling us to stay ahead of continued rapid growth • Work with talented and kind engineers to make a significant impact on our customer base, enabling them to improve and review their security posture • Contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture as we grow

• Lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and engineers to accelerate our roadmap and land impact faster. • Collaborate with other teams and engineers across Vanta on cross-cutting engineering initiatives or on building common product primitives. • Mentor engineers up to your own level; assigning them tasks and helping them develop their skills over the course of each project. • Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation.
