About the Team Rapid7's Exposure Management product team builds solutions that help organizations proactively identify, prioritize, and remediate the most impactful security risks across their hybrid environments. Our mission is to provide actionable visibility that empowers security teams to reduce their attack surface with speed and confidence. The team collaborates across engineering, design, threat intelligence, and customer-facing teams to ship scalable, user-driven products. We are passionate about solving real-world problems through seamless product experiences that balance automation, context, and customer trust. About the Role As a Senior Product Manager for Exposure Management, you will own one or more critical areas within our product portfolio. You will be expected to lead with empathy, drive outcomes through collaboration, and bring a strong product mindset to building impactful, resilient solutions. This is a strategic, hands-on role ideal for a PM who enjoys operating at the intersection of customer feedback, technical execution, and product vision. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be expected to lead with clarity, balance, and impact. You will define and drive the product vision, partner closely with engineering and design, and ensure that every initiative delivers measurable value to customers and the business. You will be accountable for setting priorities, making informed trade-offs, and guiding your team through challenges with focus and resilience. Beyond execution, you will play a key role in shaping strategy, building strong stakeholder relationships, and mentoring the next generation of product managers. Specifically, your focus will be to: - Own end-to-end product delivery, translating complex requirements into prioritized specs; driving discovery → launch → iteration → sunset; balancing speed and quality to ship impactful features that reduce exposure and accelerate remediation; and making objective, data-driven go/no-go decisions. - Own the company-aligned product vision and near-term roadmap, making principled trade-offs to avoid diminishing returns and maximize long-term value; linking outcomes to meaningful business metrics and measuring impact via adoption, usage, and customer feedback; and partnering with product marketing on announcements and positioning. - Engage customers to uncover unmet needs and turn insights into strategy; synthesize multi-channel feedback to prioritize the roadmap; partner with Design to deliver intuitive, consistent, outcome-oriented experiences; and use low-/high-fidelity prototypes to shape simple, easy-to-understand products. - Drive cross-functional alignment across Engineering, UX, GTM, Customer Success, and Threat Research; anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively address concerns before they escalate; secure senior-leader buy-in; and evangelize the product internally and externally. - Mentor and elevate junior PMs to strengthen execution and strategic thinking; share best practices in roadmap planning, stakeholder management, and delivery; and model growth-minded leadership while partnering with your manager on your own development. The skills and qualities you'll bring include: - You bring a strong product intuition, balancing qualitative customer insight with quantitative signals without getting stuck in analysis paralysis. - You are a clear, concise communicator, able to translate complex technical and security concepts into narratives that resonate with executives, practitioners, and engineers alike. - You naturally build trust and alignment across teams, creating shared context and bringing people with different perspectives toward a common goal. - You are comfortable with ambiguity and can bring structure to messy problem spaces, breaking them down into actionable steps and hypotheses. - You have a bias for learning and iteration, using experiments, prototypes, and quick feedback loops to de-risk big bets. - You are empathetic to users, especially practitioners under time and resource pressure, and use that empathy to make tradeoffs that respect their reality. - You are a strong partner to engineering and design, listening deeply, incorporating their input, and holding a high bar for execution quality. - You are accountable and outcome-oriented, owning results end-to-end and being transparent about what's working and what isn't. - You elevate the team around you, sharing context, mentoring others, and contributing to a culture of openness, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Requirements for the role - 2-3+ years of experience in the vulnerability management / exposure management space, such as vulnerability management platforms, risk-based prioritization, or attack surface management. - Professional experience in cybersecurity, ideally building or supporting security products or working closely with security / IT teams. - Proven experience as a Product Manager shipping B2B SaaS products in complex, technical domains. - Demonstrated ability to own the end-to-end product lifecycle - from opportunity assessment and discovery through launch, iteration, and sunset. - Track record of making data-informed decisions, using product analytics, customer feedback, and business metrics to drive prioritization and measure impact. - Experience working closely with engineering and UX/design to translate ideas and low-/high-fidelity concepts into intuitive, outcome-driven product experiences. - Strong customer-centric mindset, with experience engaging directly with customers to uncover unmet needs and turn insights into roadmap and strategy. - Proven cross-functional leadership skills, aligning engineering, UX, GTM, customer success, and threat research (or similar functions) around shared goals and outcomes. - Demonstrated stakeholder management and influence, including securing buy-in from senior leaders and communicating trade-offs clearly. - Experience mentoring or coaching other PMs or cross-functional partners, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. - Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, navigating change while keeping teams focused on outcomes over activity. - Alignment with Rapid7's core values and a desire to help customers reduce their exposure and strengthen their security posture. We know that the best ideas and solutions come from multi-dimensional teams. That's because these teams reflect a variety of backgrounds and professional experiences. If you are excited about this role and feel your experience can make an impact, please don't be shy - apply today.
