Role Description The Senior Manager, Data Center Controls Engineering leads the design, standardization, and delivery of controls systems across data center projects. This role is responsible for ensuring that Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and related controls infrastructure are scalable, reliable, and fully integrated to support high-performance, mission-critical operations. In addition to technical leadership, this individual manages and develops a team of controls engineers—driving consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across a growing portfolio of data center campuses. Responsibilities - Define and maintain controls engineering standards, specifications, and design guidelines across projects - Oversee the design and integration of BMS, EPMS, and related control systems - Ensure alignment between controls architecture, electrical/mechanical systems, and operational requirements - Partner with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless execution from design through commissioning - Lead controls design reviews at key project milestones and ensure alignment with project objectives - Coordinate across disciplines to ensure proper system integration and interoperability - Develop scalable controls architectures that support reliability, redundancy, and operational efficiency - Drive consistency in sequences of operations (SOOs), points lists, alarms, and control logic across sites - Evaluate and implement new technologies, platforms, and best practices in controls and automation - Support commissioning activities, including functional testing, system validation, and issue resolution - Partner with operations teams to ensure systems are maintainable, reliable, and aligned with long-term performance goals - Oversee development and standardization of controls documentation and procedures - Manage relationships with controls vendors, integrators, and technology partners - Support equipment selection, procurement strategies, and vendor performance evaluation - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, construction, and operations - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of controls engineers, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture - Drive consistency in engineering practices, tools, and standards across the team - Support resource planning, prioritization, and team growth in alignment with project demands Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Network Engineering or related field. PE license preferred - 8–12+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a focus on data centers, mission-critical, or large-scale industrial/commercial facilities - Strong expertise in BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and controls system integration - Proven experience leading projects and managing or mentoring engineering teams - Deep understanding of system architecture, controls logic, and integration across mechanical and electrical systems - Experience with industry-standard controls platforms and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus) - Ability to review design documents, sequences of operations, and controls submittals - Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment Requirements - Location: Redwood City, CA or Denver, CO or San Diego, CA or Remote - Base Pay: $160,000-$190,000 - The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. • Identify & Frame Value For Prospects/Customers • Own the end-to-end customer value journey, including responsibility for landing, expanding, adoption and renewing accounts. • Translate customers’ strategic objectives into high-impact Celonis use cases and evangelize Process Intelligence across prospects and customers. • Communicate the value opportunity and strategic roadmap to C-Level executives in partnership with sales leadership and Celonis executives. • Serve as an executive sponsor across the customer portfolio and solidify Celonis as a strategic business transformation platform for our customers. • Create & Scale Value Across The Portfolio • Lead customers through the Celonis Value Journey, support the deployment of new features, apps, and products across the customer base, and advance strategic growth programs in pursuit of value creation. • Ensure customer success and architect improvement measures and manage change within the customer base, while pioneering new methodologies within Celonis’ Value Engineering organisation. • Direct Celonis Value Engineering, Services and Ecosystem resources through the Celonis Customer Value Journey, creating durable value for our customers. • Take ownership and build strategic customer relationships as an executive sponsor. • Host QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) and EBRs (Executive Business Reviews) to communicate results and realized value to senior management and C-level executives. • Grow & Lead Celonis Talent • Recruit the next-generation of Celonis Value Engineers, while setting a high-standard for candidate excellence. • Develop world-class talent through hands-on engagement, continuous feedback, and active mentorship. • Lead by example and consistently demonstrate the Celonis Leadership Principles (lead with purpose, facilitate greatness, embrace difference, and cultivate balance). • Effectively allocate Celonis resources to deliver on company sales, renewals, value, and adoption targets. • Communicate success and risks proactively within the organization.

• Manage and guide a team of 2–5 manufacturing engineers at the CM site in Chonburi, ensuring clear priorities and effective daily execution. • Serve as the primary contact who collaborates with CM, facilitating daily communication on infrastructure status, capacity readiness, and execution alignment. • Take responsibility for optics manufacturing infrastructure, encompassing installation, qualification, availability, and overall equipment efficiency. • Ensure CM engineers and technicians are accurately trained and capable of maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment. • Manage infrastructure spare parts and consumables, ensuring availability and efficient usage to support high-volume production. • Standardize and continuously improve maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, including defining and tracking relevant benchmarks. • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to resolve production issues and prevent recurrence. • Develop team capability and collaborate cross-functionally to drive manufacturing strategies and sustain a high-availability optical production line. • Collaborate with the Israeli team to help maintain efficient operations on the CM assembly floor.
