Job Description
Recruitment, Training & Development Manager
The Auction Experts
Role Description This is a dual-purpose role that sits at the heart of our growth engine. You will be responsible for identifying and attracting prospective Auction Experts to join the network, owning their onboarding journey, and providing the ongoing training, coaching and development that turns new recruits into consistent performers. Alongside your people development responsibilities, you will also carry a personal property sourcing brief — actively identifying suitable properties for auction and building your own pipeline. This keeps you close to the work your Auction Experts are doing and gives you direct earning potential through commission. You will work closely with the Managing Director of The Auction Experts and the wider TEG recruitment and support functions. Key Responsibilities - Recruitment - Proactively attract and identify candidates suited to the self-employed Auction Expert model - Manage the candidate pipeline from initial enquiry through to authorisation and Bootcamp completion - Conduct candidate discovery calls and present the opportunity compellingly - Work alongside TEG’s recruitment team to maximise sourcing channels - Maintain accurate candidate records and progress updates - Onboarding & Training - Deliver and manage the structured onboarding programme including compliance (Stage 1) and Auction Bootcamp (Stage 2) - Ensure all new Auction Experts complete each stage within the required timeframes - Develop, maintain and improve training content across the Auction Experts Academy - Run regular training sessions via Microsoft Teams and support in-person events - Act as Success Coach to a cohort of Auction Experts, delivering personalised guidance and accountability against their Success Blueprint - Ongoing Development & Performance Support - Monitor Auction Expert performance through the 90-day window and beyond - Identify development needs and deliver targeted coaching interventions - Support agents with business planning, pipeline building and prospecting strategy - Foster a high-performance culture aligned to the The Auction Experts core values and network standards - Personal Property Sourcing - Identify suitable properties for auction through direct prospecting, networking and referral channels - Build and maintain your own pipeline of auction-ready properties - Conduct market appraisals and present the case for auction to prospective sellers - Earn commission on completions alongside your retainer Qualifications - A background in property, estate agency or auction — you understand what good looks like in the field - Experience in recruitment, training, coaching or people development - Comfortable with self-employed professionals — you know how to motivate without managing - Commercially driven with a performance mindset — you measure success in completions, not activity - Excellent communicator — confident on calls, on Teams and in front of a room - Able to operate autonomously in a remote environment without losing accountability Benefits - £35,000–£40,000 retainer - Commission on personal property completions - Referral fees via the TAE panel (conveyancing, mortgages, surveys) - Full access to The Auction Experts Academy and training resources - Microsoft 365 suite, 3CX phone system and SharePoint Knowledge Hub - A genuine opportunity to shape the growth of a national auction network - The autonomy of self-employment within a structured, supportive framework How to Apply If you are commercially driven, people-focused and ready to play a central role in the UK’s most exciting property auction network, we want to hear from you.
