Position Title: Senior Principal Software Engineer / Staff Software Engineer for Multiple Positions Salary: $222,287-$232,287/year Location: 4321 Collington Road (and Other U.S. Locations), Bowie, MD 20716 Summary of Duties: Architect, design, create, test, and ensure the quality of large scale or complex software for a major product or product line. Responsible for high level research and analysis related to software design and development. Use best software engineering practices to evolve system design. Participate in design and code reviews with other engineers. Responsible for assigned integration, testing and deployment tasks to manage the server fleet and complex computing systems to drive automation, improvement, and performance. Establish and maintain software configuration control and software development environments including program source control to ensure reliable backups and source code integrity. Design and refactoring through rapid prototyping and experimentation during research and refactor spikes. Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. Write high quality, testable code that meets the Definition of Done. Strive to eliminate technical debt. Create automated unit, system and acceptance tests. Support the early and continuous validation of features and stories with Customers, Analysts and Inovalon' s customer facing teams to maximize the market value of the software delivered at each increment. Continuously evaluate software performance, identify performance degradation and opportunities to gain performance improvements valued by customers. Understand domain (Healthcare) and technical trends that will impact/drive the architecture. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Technology Management, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or related field of study, or foreign equivalent plus at least 6 years progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience job offered or any IT-related roles/job titles. Applicants must have at least 6 years of experience with: (1) Unix management, computing platforms, and technologies involving virtualization, distribution, and high-performance computing; (2) C#, .NET platform, including NET Framework 4.6.1; (3) Angular JavaScript Frameworks; and (4) SOAP & RESTful Web Services; (5) ASP .NET Core 2.x; (6) Kafka; (7) Azure API Gateway; and (8) Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF). Responsibilities In this role, you’ll work in a high energy, outbound sales environment built to strengthen your SaaS selling foundation while preparing you for full cycle responsibilities. You will: - Own outbound prospecting, targeted outreach, and pipeline generation - Qualify opportunities and create momentum for SAM sales cycles - Deliver compelling messaging to SMB and mid-market prospects - Execute structured call, email, and LinkedIn cadences - Collaborate with SAM leaders and sales partners to refine conversion strategies - Strengthen your SaaS sales acumen through ongoing coaching, training, and immersion in our platform - Demonstrate performance and consistency across a structured evaluation framework You’ll get exposure to real selling, not just booking meetings—setting you up for success as you transition into the SAM family. Who We’re Looking For - Associate's degree or equivalent experience, required - 1 to 2 years of outbound sales experience, required. - 2+ years of related experience, preferred. - Confidence communicating with decision makers via phone, email, and social - Ability to manage volume, objection handling, and pipeline creation - Desire to learn full cycle sales and move into a closing role - Comfort with structured goals, metrics, and performance accountability - A growth mindset and coachability - Ability to travel less than 5% of the time. - Must be 18 years of age or older. - Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required. - Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses, as needed.
