Description Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our established team. This role involves managing and expanding customer relationships within the valve distribution sector, driving sales, and ensuring the smooth delivery of products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of valve systems, experience in customer management, and a proven track record in meeting sales targets and building accounts. Key Responsibilities: - Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts within the valve distribution industry. - Sales Growth: Drive sales by identifying new business opportunities, upselling, and cross-selling valve products to existing and new clients. - Customer Service: Provide expert advice and support to customers, addressing technical inquiries, product concerns, and assisting with order processes. - Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of valve systems, industry trends, product offerings, and customer pain points. - Order Management: Oversee order processing, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of valve products to customers. - Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. - Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (sales, logistics, engineering) to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient operations. - Market Analysis: Monitor industry developments, competitor activities, and market trends to identify potential areas for growth. - Reporting: Track sales performance, customer feedback, and market data to provide regular updates to management. Requirements Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred and/or high school diploma in lieu of experience. - Proven experience in sales, account management, or distribution, ideally within the valve or industrial sector. - Strong knowledge of valve products, technologies, and industry standards. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to analyze customer needs and propose effective solutions. - Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP systems. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients.
