AI Engineer – m/f/d
AOE
• Develop AI-powered solutions – You will develop AI agents, conversational AI, and enterprise AI platforms that deliver real value • Select technologies & frameworks – You choose appropriate AI technologies and frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face) and apply them purposefully • Integrate LLMs & generative models – You integrate LLMs and generative models into existing applications and optimize their performance • Develop & optimize RAG applications – You develop RAG applications and improve their information-retrieval processes for more accurate and efficient results • Automate workflows & implement MLOps – You automate workflows and implement MLOps processes to enable continuous integration and deployment for ML models • Advise clients & develop PoCs – You advise clients on the capabilities of generative AI, develop proofs-of-concept, and contribute innovative ideas to new projects
Job Requirements
- Experience in software development & generative AI – You have extensive experience in software development and have completed multiple projects involving generative AI
- Programming & data-processing skills – You are proficient with programming languages such as Python, R, or Java and data-processing tools like Pandas, Spark, or SQL
- Knowledge of retrieval technologies & AI platforms – You are familiar with retrieval technologies (e.g., Lucene, GraphDB, Vector DB) and AI platforms
- Understanding of machine learning & NLP – You understand machine learning, deep learning, and NLP and have solid knowledge of LLMs
- Proactive collaboration – You actively drive AI solutions forward and work with the AI team on internal projects; you also support other teams in developing and implementing AI solutions
- Strong communication in German & English – You are fluent in German and English and can communicate your ideas clearly and effectively

• Contribute to the development of a high-scale, AI-ready Data Lakehouse optimized for AI Agent operations • Hands-on prototyping of emerging architectural patterns • Maintain high standards for code quality and CI/CD, participating in cross-functional architecture reviews • Build platform-level interfaces for agentic workflows • Develop systems that move beyond basic search into Reasoning-based Retrieval • Implement emerging standards like the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agentic RAG
• Define and own the technical roadmap for AI-ready Data Lakehouse • Prototype and benchmark emerging trends in the AI ecosystem • Set the gold standard for code quality and system design • Design platform-level interfaces for Agentic workflows • Build the "Context Fabric" for AI agents • Implement and advocate for emerging standards like MCP
