Java Software Engineer
InPost Group
• Design, implementation and testing of high-performance, reactive microservices in Java using state-of-the-art methods and technologies. • Creating and evolving event-driven systems using Spring WebFlux, Kafka, and NoSQL/SQL databases. • Have your share of ownership of incidents and issue tracking, as well as proposing improvements to the current applications. • Advocate an engineering culture of quality, good development principles and innovation from inside your team. • Contribute with the creation and maintenance of architectural technical documentation, including System Design and RFC documents. • Collaborate with QA and other teams to deliver complex functionalities across many projects.
Job Requirements
- A solid foundation in software engineering (bachelor's degree preferred) with 3+ years of experience.
- Java development experience including knowledge of reactive/non-blocking programming and common tooling such as Spring Boot, Spring WebFlux, SQL/NoSQL.
- Knowledge of messaging frameworks (preferably Kafka) and event-driven architectural patterns, like Event Sourcing or CQRS.
- Knowledge of traditional software development processes and tools, including Maven, Git, JIRA, Confluence, Code Review, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience developing microservices with a focus on high performance and scalability.
- Preferred modern technologies include Apache Kafka, REST APIs, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-based infrastructure (preferably Google Cloud Platform).
- Taking initiative and ownership of tasks and commitments.
- Ability to understand requirements and deliver high quality implementation from start to finish while still contributing to a culture of continuous improvement in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Good command of English
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and large language models (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity, accelerate development, and solve complex problems.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply them responsibly within professional workflows.
