Infrastructure Engineer – Edge Compute
Telnyx
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (RKE2/Rancher) across multiple cloud providers • Build and maintain WireGuard VPN tunnels connecting Telnyx to isolated edge clusters • Own Ansible automation for cluster provisioning and configuration • Manage infrastructure-as-code with Terraform/OpenTofu (DigitalOcean, Zenlayer, bare metal) • Build out Prometheus metrics pipelines for billing and observability • Harden security: network policies, firewall rules, air-gapping compliance
Job Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on Kubernetes in production
- Strong networking fundamentals (VPNs, firewalls, NAT, routing)
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Ansible, Terraform)
- Linux systems administration
- Security mindset — you think about attack surfaces
- Firecracker, Kata Containers, or microVM isolation (Nice to Have)
- KNative or serverless infrastructure (Nice to Have)
- Rancher/RKE2 specifically (Nice to Have)
