Job Description
DACH Payroll Specialist
Össur
Looking for a new role where payroll goes beyond spreadsheets and deadlines - where doing it well means people can focus on their lives, not worry about them? At Embla Medical, we improve people’s mobility so they can live their Life Without Limitations - and great payroll is part of making that possible for our colleagues. We’re looking for a payroll professional who understands and maintains payroll processes in a way that actively supports the business strategy, and who sees how HR’s work connects to the bigger picture of the organization. You’ll join our EMEA Payroll Center of Excellence and own an outsourced payroll set-up across the DACH region, partnering closely with our provider, HR, and Finance to keep the end-to-end process reliable, compliant, and continuously improving. What you’ll do You’ll own the end-to-end, outsourced monthly payroll for four legal entities across the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria), ensuring accurate inputs, on-time delivery, and smooth handover of results to Finance and employees. As the process owner within our Payroll Center of Excellence, you’ll continuously improve how payroll data moves between HR, the business, and the provider, and you’ll keep us aligned with changing legislation. You’ll support statutory reporting and audits, provide input for equal pay and pay transparency initiatives, and partner with Finance on reconciliations and payroll cost forecasting. You’ll also help strengthen employee life-cycle processes in Workday and contribute to regional and global HR projects when your expertise can move things forward. What you need to succeed in the role You bring solid, hands-on experience in payroll administration across the DACH region and know how to work effectively with outsourced payroll providers - managing inputs, timelines, and controls to ensure accurate, compliant results. You’re fluent in German and English (and you can also communicate in Polish), and you enjoy working with data: you’re tech-savvy, comfortable in Excel, and curious about how systems and clean inputs create reliable outcomes. Experience with HRIS - especially Workday - is a strong advantage. What we offer At Embla Medical, we believe great payroll is part of great employee experience - so we invest in a supportive, international environment where you can grow and make an impact. As part of our team, you can expect: - An international team culture: collaborate across borders in a diverse and inclusive environment. - Private medical care to support your well-being. - Sports card support and access to our Social Fund. - Career growth opportunities, professional development and internal mobility across our global organization. - A modern workspace in our Scandinavian-style office in the heart of Szczecin. - Flexibility: we welcome candidates from Szczecin and the surrounding area, and we’re also open to a fully remote set-up for the right person based elsewhere in Poland. Join us in our mission to improve people’s mobility so they can live their Life Without Limitations.
