SSIS Developer/ ETL Developer/ Data Engineer Location: Rosemont, IL, United States Job Description: Akkodis is seeking an SSIS Developer/ ETL Developer/ Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Rosemont, IL(Remote). The candidate with a strong background in designing, building, and optimizing end‑to‑end data pipelines for ODS, staging, and enterprise data warehouses. Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. SSIS Developer/ ETL Developer/ Data Engineer Job Responsibilities include: - Design, develop, and maintain batch ETL/ELT processes using SQL Server and SSIS to support ODS, staging, and enterprise data warehouse solutions. - Build and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and T‑SQL scripts to ensure high‑performance data processing and analysis. - Develop and implement scalable data warehouse solutions using Star and Snowflake schemas to support reporting and analytical needs. - Design and manage end‑to‑end data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, validation, and loading across multiple environments. - Implement data quality, audit, balance, and control mechanisms to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and adhere to best‑in‑class data engineering standards. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. - 6-8 years of hands‑on experience in SSIS, SQL Server, and data warehousing/ETL development. - Strong expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing batch ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data pipelines using SSIS and T‑SQL. - Proven experience implementing data warehouse solutions (Star/Snowflake schemas), data modeling, and data quality, audit, and control mechanisms. Role Description We are implementing a strict Medallion Architecture to organize petabytes of industrial data. This role is for a Data Engineer who excels at transforming raw chaos into structured, queryable assets. You will build and maintain the ELT pipelines that move data from "Bronze" (Raw) to "Silver" (Cleaned) and "Gold" (Aggregated). You will work with Delta Lake (On-prem/Databricks), Polars, and Airflow to ensure data quality and availability for Data Scientists and the Knowledge Graph.
