• Identify, scope, and deliver high-impact projects end-to-end, leveraging the right resources and partners • Proactively coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders to maximize the impact and adoption of your work • Clearly communicate insights and business implications to audiences ranging from technical to executive, using the right level of complexity and narrative to influence decisions and roadmaps • Develop frameworks and measurement approaches that make complex marketplace and product questions intuitive and actionable • Apply rigorous analytical and causal inference methods (e.g., experimentation, quasi-experimental designs, forecasting/measurement) balancing rigor with practical constraints (time, complexity, marginal value) • Own and improve shared decision-making programs and infrastructure, such as experimentation practices, market-based testing, and impact measurement • Design, build, and maintain shared DS tooling and reusable assets (e.g., notebooks, libraries, training, standardized metrics, and key models that empower other teams) • Mentor other scientists/analysts and lead trainings/courses to raise the bar for scientific decision-making across the company
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in economics, analytics, or data science (e.g. in tech, consulting, government, etc)
- Proficiency with empirical econometrics toolkit (experimentation; methods for causal inference such as IV; panel data methods; discrete models; etc)
- Proficiency with SQL
- Proficiency with R or Python, including strong data visualization skills
- Strong communication skills: able to communicate complex methods in intuitive and simple ways, easily able to adapt messaging to fit the audience, able to identify/highlight key information
- Ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally and with senior leadership
- Proficiency with data wrangling and organizing data for different models or analyses; and organized workflows and project management skills
