Role Description Our client is seeking a talented Insurance Coverage Attorney to join their expanding San Francisco office. This role offers full remote or hybrid flexibility for candidates who are admitted and in good standing in California. You will work directly with the Managing Partner of North America on sophisticated coverage matters for domestic and international insurers. Qualifications - At least 2+ years of experience in insurance coverage, including coverage analysis, coverage opinions, and bad faith claims - Strong academic credentials with excellent research and writing skills - Experience with case management, drafting coverage opinions, pleadings, and handling motions - Admitted and in good standing in California (additional jurisdictions a plus) Requirements - Manage insurance coverage matters, including bad faith claims, from inception through resolution - Draft and review coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery with a high level of precision and advocacy - Take and defend depositions, including experts and key parties, and represent clients in hearings and motion practice in state and federal courts - Provide trial support, including strategy development, witness preparation, and trial execution - Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategy, assess risk, and deliver practical legal solutions - Communicate directly with clients, providing updates, legal advice, and strategic guidance while fostering strong relationships - Stay current on developments in insurance coverage law, incorporating industry trends into case strategy Benefits - Salary range: $175,000 – $220,000, depending on experience and practice group - Annual performance-based raises and discretionary bonus - Comprehensive benefits package - 1,920 billable hour requirement - Fully remote or hybrid flexibility for California-barred attorneys - Strong mentorship program with partners and associates, plus business development training

The In-house CRA II is a solid team member who can execute all core responsibilities consistently across several studies using independent judgment and critical thinking. Individual works independently as study team member with minimum support in complex activities.
