This is a full time and remote position from Spain where you will be working for our global teams, including multiple colleagues in Spain What you will own - Architect and own end-to-end finance data flows (NetSuite, Stripe, Data Warehouse, reporting), ensuring clean, reconciled, and audit-ready data. - Own Virtuagym Billing Tech Stack and lead the transition towards AI-ready Billing - Automate core finance processes (month-end close, revenue recognition, accruals, intercompany, reconciliations) to eliminate manual work and reduce close time. - Build automated, reliable and scalable reporting for management, board and audit purposes. - Be the bridge between Finance & Engineering: define requirements, review implementations and drive delivery with Engineering - Identify and eliminate data quality issues, inefficiencies and manual workarounds across finance workflows - Design finance data models and pipelines that are structured, documented and ready for AI use cases - Drive adoption of AI in finance workflows (e.g. anomaly detection, forecasting, variance analysis) with strong validation and auditability What you’ll bring to the Finance team - 5+ years experience in finance engineering, data engineering or similar roles at the intersection of finance and tech - Advanced SQL skills with daily hands-on usage (data modeling, optimization, transformation) - Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (GL, revenue recognition, close processes, reconciliations) - Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and billing platforms (Stripe or similar) - Proven track record of automating finance processes and replacing manual workflows with scalable systems - Ability to operate autonomously, prioritize high-impact work and deliver end-to-end solutions Even better if you have: - Experience with modern data tooling & software engineering skills (e.g. Python, Java, PHP, BI tools, etc) and data warehouse environments is a plus - Hands-on experience with AI-driven workflows in finance (LLMs, automation, or advanced analytics - Background in SaaS Important note: please do apply if you meet 70%+ of the criteria. • Oversee the financial reporting for multiple venture capital funds and related entities • Review quarterly and annual financial statements, valuation inputs, and supporting schedules • Support audit processes and liaise with auditors and fund administrators • Act as the primary point of contact for external providers (fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, corporate secretarial) • Manage timelines, deliverables, and quality of output across all providers • Partner closely with internal stakeholders, including Partners and investment team, on finance-related matters • Oversee the finance operations of the management company (including AP/AR, payroll, and expense management) • Lead monthly and quarterly management reporting, including analysis and insights for leadership • Manage cash flow forecasting across both funds and management entities • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, where applicable • Coordinate tax filings and reporting obligations with external advisors • Maintain and improve internal controls and governance processes • Manage and develop a small finance team across: • Fund accounting • Operational finance • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and reporting efficiency, including leveraging AI and automation to enhance accuracy, scalability, and insight generation
