Job DetailsJob Location: Allied Benefit Systems - CHICAGO, IL 60606Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 SalaryJob Category: Information TechnologyPOSITION SUMMARY The Senior Technical Business Analyst is expected to review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create system solutions that support overall business strategies. They will document system requirements, define scope and objectives, and create system specification that drive development and implementation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Work closely with project managers to gather requirements and to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications. Using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions. Collaborate with stakeholder and scrum teams to translate business requirements into user stories. Ability to create wireframes for relevant requests. Ability to do high level SQL coding to analyze tables required for a given request. Ability to draw flowcharts/workflow diagrams/data flow diagrams when needed. Removing blockers for development by getting clarification on requirements from stakeholders. Design new or modify existing systems to meet business requirements, often working with IT developers to ensure technical feasibility. Document processes, requirements, and system designs for future reference and communication. Play a role in testing new systems to ensure they meet business requirements and function as expected. Identify and resolve issues related to system performance and functionality. Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates and managing expectations. Assist with the implementation of new systems or enhancements to existing ones, ensuring a smooth transition. Presenting data in a clear and compelling way is crucial to being a successful data analyst. EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, information technology, or related field or equivalent work experience required. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Must have least 4 years of experience as a business analyst required. The use of Visio or equivalent tool to draw Flowcharts, System flow diagrams etc.is required. Familiarity with SQL Code required. Ability to create user stories required. Ability to shadow business users and artifact workflows. Must possess excellent people and project management skills. Strong communication and presentation skills is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is requred. Familiarity with Azure DevOps. As a Business Analyst (all genders) at GK — a global leader in retail technology and part of the Fujitsu Group — you support analyst relations, develop market and product-related materials, and coordinate strategic cross-functional initiatives, providing clear, decision-ready insights to senior leadership and helping to position GK’s innovative solutions on an international stage. What You’ll Do Analyst Relations - Coordinate and prepare GK’s responses to analyst RFIs, including internal content gathering, data validation, and submission management. - Research analyst firms, their methodologies, and the competitive landscape to support briefing preparation and positioning strategy. - Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and supporting content for analyst interactions and sessions. - Maintain and update internal repositories of analyst rankings, report mentions, and competitive intelligence for use by sales and pre-sales teams. - Manage NDAs, contracting, approval workflows, and financial processes related to analyst engagements and subscriptions. What You Bring Essential - Several years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a background in retail software — whether as a vendor, consultant, or in a retailer-facing role. - Native or near-native English proficiency, with strong written communication skills and the ability to produce polished, senior-level content. - Solid technical, process, and commercial understanding of retail software — including how solutions are scoped, sold, and delivered. - Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. - Comfortable working across cultures and time zones, with experience coordinating between international stakeholders. A strong advantage - Prior experience in analyst relations, market intelligence, or competitive positioning within enterprise software. - Familiarity with analyst firm processes (e.g. Forrester Wave, Gartner Magic Quadrant, IDC MarketScape). - Exposure to POS, unified commerce, or omnichannel retail technology. - Additional languages are a plus.
