Bilingual – French Case Manager
Disability Management Institute
• Interview claimants and employers to gather relevant claim information • Ensure all claims are processed in date order, in accordance with the agreed upon service standards for each Client • Utilize available resources to assess diagnosis and treatment plans • Draft and deliver written correspondence identifying claim activity and next steps • Participate in claim conference calls with employers and team lead • Work collaboratively with the Rehab Coordinator to minimize duration of absence and return claimants to work • Maintain confidentiality over client and corporate records and medical claims information • Operate automated claims payment system and performs manual calculations as required
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of claims experience in a group insurance environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience adjudicating Long Term Disability claims
- Post-secondary degree or diploma or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology and disability contract language an asset
- CEBS, CIP, or LOMA designations an asset
- Medical background an asset (i.e. Occupational Therapist, Kinesiology, Nursing, Physiotherapist)
- Strong MS Office Skills
- Excellent analytical and letter writing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Fluency in both French and English is required
