Electrical Engineering Technician
The Bergaila Companies
• Support field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation (Lock out Tag out: Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)) for lighting, air condition and motor maintenance. • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager • Provides guidance to lower level staff with complex problems • Assembles, tests, and modifies experimental and/or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, electrical circuitry and components according to engineering specifications in industrial or commercial plants and laboratories • Diagnoses causes of malfunctions or failures and performs preventive/corrective maintenance • Records data and recommends modification or replacement of failed equipment
Job Requirements
- Electrical HV Power Transmission and Distribution experience
- Electrical Dispatch Operations experience
- Ignition or other SCADA platform (Wonderware, GE HMI, etc.) knowledge/experience
- SeeQ Analytics Software functional knowledge
- Aspentech – Monarch and ABB Xenon SCADA software functional knowledge
- Instrumentation Controls & Electrical experience
- Understanding of equipment, systems, and processes relevant to the specific industry (O&G upstream/downstream remote operation)
- Proficiency in using control systems, monitoring tools, and computer software related to control room operations (SCADA, Call Systems, Seek, Citrix)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerBI, Zoom, RDC)
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Ability to work in shifts and adapt to 24/7 on-call working days and nights rotation schedule
- High School diploma or GED required

Job Description: Meade has a job opportunity for an experienced Sr. Electrical Engineer to be an integral member of our design team. The scope of projects will include data centers, industrial buildings, offices and other high-profile construction projects. This role will be highly collaborative amongst Meade staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines. Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings. Job Duties: - Responsible for designing electrical systems and performing design calculations. - Review, signing and sealing of projects. - Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, preparation of record drawings, site visits, inspections and participation in commissioning work. - Writing and editing of electrical equipment specifications, selecting equipment, electrical systems and devices. - Ensure jobs are completed accurately, within deadlines and on budget. Minimum Qualifications: - 7+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry. - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. - Valid Electrical Professional Engineering (PE) license (will consider 6 years of experience with PE license). - Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects. - Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff. - Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards. - Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power system, including interactive generator controls systems. - Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred. - Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred. - Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives. - Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team. - Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills. - Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.
