Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Manager, Informatics (IC) to provide technical and analytic leadership for Value‑Based Care (VBC) analytics, supporting Medicare and Specialty/Chronic Care populations. This role is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, governing, and enabling the data and informatics foundations that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and performance measurement. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, bridging business requirements and technical implementation. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in healthcare data, informatics, and analytics enablement, and thrives in complex, audit‑sensitive environments. This position does not include people management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Informatics & Data Enablement - Lead the design and ongoing stewardship of data foundations that support analytics and reporting for Value‑Based Care programs. - Translate complex business and analytic requirements into well‑defined data structures, logic, and specifications. - Partner with data engineering and technology teams to ensure data pipelines, transformations, and integrations meet analytic needs. Analytics Governance & Quality - Establish and enforce standards for data definitions, calculations, and documentation used across analytics and reporting. - Ensure analytic assets are accurate, auditable, reproducible, and aligned across teams and stakeholders. - Lead investigation and resolution of complex data integrity or reconciliation issues. Cross‑Functional Partnership - Serve as a senior technical partner to Analytics, Medical Economics, Actuarial, Clinical, and Network leaders. - Provide expert guidance on how data can be used to support financial performance monitoring, provider evaluation, and strategic initiatives. - Communicate complex informatics and data concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Strategic & Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency of analytics through improved data design and automation. - Support onboarding of new Value‑Based Care models, measures, or populations by ensuring data readiness and consistency. - Contribute to enterprise informatics and analytics best practices. Required Qualifications - 7+ years of experience in healthcare informatics, analytics enablement, data engineering partnership, or related roles. - Deep experience working with large, complex healthcare datasets. - Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical and analytical initiatives without direct authority. - Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and documentation practices. - Proficiency with data and analytics tools and platforms such as SQL, SAS, Python, cloud data platforms, or BI tools. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across technical and business teams. Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting Medicare Value‑Based Care, ACOs, or other risk‑based reimbursement models. - Familiarity with medical economics, attribution logic, quality measures, and provider performance analytics. - Experience operating in regulated or audit‑sensitive environments. - Exposure to modern cloud‑based data platforms or analytics modernization initiatives. - Experience supporting Specialty or Chronic Care populations. Education - Bachelor’s degree in informatics, data science, analytics, computer science, healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $82,940.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
