The Mechatronics Manufacturing Assistance Instructor prepares students for careers in advanced manufacturing automation by providing hands-on Mechatronics training, theoretical knowledge, and industry-relevant skills. This position focuses on teaching students the integration of mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and industrial automation systems used to automate manufacturing production equipment. The position prepares students for careers in advanced manufacturing by combining knowledge with hands-on training. The Mechatronics Manufacturing Assistance Instructor will use their knowledge of adult learning theories and learning styles to maximize learner success and ensure overall effectiveness of the course instruction. The Mechatronics Manufacturing Assistance Instructor uses a variety of media to present course materials and is responsible for assisting in curriculum development projects to maintain course relevance and support customer needs. Assists in scheduling training deliveries, coordinates participant registration and logistics, compiles data, and ensures quality control measures are met. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with students, customers and internal support personnel. Qualifications of the Role - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, manufacturing, or applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. - Five years of hands-on Mechatronics systems experience. - One year of experience in adult education and/or training in Mechatronics operation principles. - Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment. Equivalency: Will consider an associate’s degree with seven years of hands-on Mechatronics systems experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with nine years of hands-on Mechatronics systems experience.
