Come talk to us about joining the Centerstone team! JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION This is a remote position on a 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. This position provides expertise and strategic guidance for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs for crisis staff. The Advisor collaborates with enterprise leadership, training teams, and operational staff to design onboarding, retraining, and ongoing learning initiatives, ensuring the reflect best practices, are evidence-informed, and meet the needs of both staff and the populations served. Leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of training programs for crisis services, partnering with leadership and operations to deliver evidence-informed onboarding and ongoing learning aligned with best practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop, refine, and advise on onboarding, retraining, and ongoing training programs for crisis staff, incorporating evidence-based and peer-informed practices. - Attend peer led supervisions to gain insight into peer perspectives to incorporate into curriculum design as appropriate. - Develop training strategies, adult learning approaches, and methods to optimize staff development. - Provide recommendations for improving programmatic learning outcomes based on feedback, crisis literature, and emerging best practices. - Serve as a resource for teams regarding crisis intervention standards, peer support principles, and effective training methodologies. - Support staff by offering coaching, guidance, and consultation related to skill development and training needs. - Facilitate training initiatives, pilot programs, or focus groups to enhance learning effectiveness. - Model best practices in crisis intervention, communication, and staff engagement. - Ensure alignment of learning objectives with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and compliance requirements. - Assist in administrative tasks as needed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. - Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette. - Adaptability for shifting between leadership and direct service roles as needed. - Aligns learning initiatives with enterprise priorities and evolving needs. - Skill in providing crisis intervention. QUALIFICATIONS Education Level Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for at least 5 years. Master’s degree is preferred. Years of Experience Three years of experience in training, learning & development, or crisis services required. Five years preferred. School Summary South Carolina Connections Academy (SCCA) is a tuition-free, K–12 online public school. The school was launched in 2008–09 under contract to the South Carolina Connections Academy Charter School. SCCA is South Carolina’s very first virtual charter school, authorized by the South Carolina Public Charter School District. The school serves students in grades K–12 from anywhere in South Carolina. Position Summary and Responsibilities Working from your home certified teachers will manage instructional programs. Through various curriculum and communication tools, they will consult regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure that each child successfully completes their instructional program.
