• Lead technical direction and implementation of core gameplay and runtime systems • Own architecture and long-term health of gameplay-adjacent systems • Partner closely with design and content teams • Drive engineering quality across gameplay code • Architect and optimize AI movement, perception, decision support, and navigation features • Support large gameplay spaces by improving runtime performance and system reliability • Establish engineering best practices for Unreal Engine 5 development • Mentor engineers and contribute to hiring and onboarding • Communicate technical constraints and plans to stakeholders
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional game development experience
- Strong professional experience with C++ and Unreal Engine
- Shipped or significantly contributed to complex action, shooter, AI-heavy, or systemic gameplay features
- Deep experience building and maintaining responsive, scalable gameplay systems
- Understand technical demands of third person action or tactical shooter gameplay
- Comfortable collaborating across multiple disciplines
- Strong ownership mindset and practical decision-making
