Founded in 1986, OnTrac has evolved into the leading provider of same-day and next-day delivery services in the U.S. for premier e-commerce and product-supply businesses, including five of the largest retailers in the U.S. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procurement, the Procurement Senior Manager is responsible for the management and execution of critical category sourcing strategies for OnTrac. They are the principal owner of the sourcing process for multiple categories, driving stakeholder management, preparation and execution of negotiations, and making final supply recommendations to the business. Primary Responsibilities of the Role - Contribute to building a culture of procurement excellence within OnTrac so that procurement is viewed as a strategic partner. Key spend categories include labor, IT hardware and software, warehouse supplies, office supplies, repair and maintenance, utilities, and travel. - Assist in building internal capability - encompassing people, processes and technologies - across procurement, engineering, finance, operations, and more. - Develop category savings goals. Track financial results, implementation performance and supplier performance; identify gaps and variances in performance and take corrective action to restore performance to plan. - Support procurement initiatives in partnership with P&L owners to develop target financial goals and results, manage supplier performance to meet defined business requirements. - Lead the development of negotiation strategies, cost modeling and sensitivity/scenario analysis to help stakeholders understand trade-offs and business benefits of various negotiation strategies/outcomes. - Lead negotiations with suppliers; communicate results to business; develop final sourcing recommendation(s) and ensure broad support among stakeholders; Develop and manage supplier relationships. Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Requirements - An undergraduate degree is required, with strong preference for degrees in Procurement, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related disciplines. - At least 7 years of work experience in Procurement, Finance, or related disciplines. - An analytical and strategic thinker, financially savvy with strong financial acumen and advanced Excel/data analysis skills. - Success working with cross-functional teams, and leading projects and complex change initiatives. - Aptitude for and interest in technical topics, e.g., when sourcing a technical material or service, he/she is naturally interested in learning technical details of the material/service; the ability and interest to learn about and confidently discuss technical materials and services supplied to the high temperature insulation industry. - Demonstrated leadership capability; able to positively influence the organization through effective communication and drive culture change. - Proactive and creative; able to make effective and timely decisions and think beyond traditional solutions. - Results‐oriented; demonstrated ability to create/identify and capture savings opportunities. - Embraces fact‐based decision-making processes; naturally seeks to leverage/integrate detailed cost modeling & scenario analysis. - Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills; strong listening skills; naturally inclusive in decision‐making environments and able to connect and collaborate well with engineers. - Strong communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; credible with internal stakeholders and external audiences, e.g., suppliers; comfortable meeting with/presenting to executives and senior management. - A flexible, dynamic, self‐demanding and proactive individual; able to motivate themselves and others and work well in a fast-paced environment.
